Captain Dumbass here. I have a bunch of seedlings under 80w of CFLs and unfortunately, two nights ago, the lights came off of their velcro that was holding them to the sides of my rubbermaids. The largest of these, with two sets of leaves was hurt the worst...it ended up losing 45-50% of it's foliage. It's still trucking a couple days later now. yesterday I gave it a shot of Nitro, but it seems like I burned it a little (yellowed tips). Did I mention I'm a noob? Anyhow, the burning has stopped and it was just a little on the tips...do you think this plant is going to be totally fucked and stunted now?? Will post pic if ya like.

Hey there captain dumbass....hehe, just kidding. Yes, please post a pic...seeing the damage would help.

MJ can be a tough little plant...I've seen comebacks from certain death more than a few times;)

Never hang lights with rope. string, velcro or any other burnable, meltable or breakable material. Chains or wire is all I ever use.

Let that plant dry out and then flush it some. It will make it. Young plants in veg are very resilient.

Hey Ickis, I think I'm slowly learning my lesson. Some folks in another thread here had suggested that industrial strength velcro. It seems to hold ok...I am going to get some really solid zip-ties or those metal version of zip ties with the screw locks. I should also mention that I had put some excess weight on top of a flimsy, temporary lid. I have to mount the lights in what will be the top tub yet and have just had some foil lined sheets over the top of the tub for some reflection.

Thanks for your input tho! I am gonna let her dry out and give fresh h20 next. As I mentioned earlier, I am gonna have some pics of the damage up soon. Poor lil thing..
