Bulb not firing! need help quick

A capacitor can knock the shit out of you long after its been unplugged.If I didnt have a store that would check it for me,I'd have to get another lamp

Capacitors have been known to hold a charge for years afterwards... Should be a discharge resistor on modern core&coils tho.

My htg 600 was a boat anchor,cause all kinds of strange electrical issues/power leakage...Lasted 3 runs and died,hope you have luck solving the problem,my fix was a galaxy...

snagglepuss: I hope mine lasts longer, though I think I knew going in that I shoulda just ponied up for the magnetic ballast and saved myself some trouble.

Hoping customer service helps me out, but with no receipt and no credit card used, I'm thinking I'm out of luck.
Can't call them until Monday anyway.

Anyone know if opening up the ballast voids my warranty? It says its 'fuse protected' and I'm wondering if I had a power surge and it just popped the fuse.

the bulb looks in pretty tip top condition, so I really don't think that's the problem, though I guess it still could be.

I have 4 lumatek ballast 2) 600 and 2) 400 and they go through bulbs like there is no tomorrow. All are less than a year old, but my 4 yr old trusty 400 watt xtrasun ballast just keeps on chugging. The only time it goes through bulbs is when i change them. I have since replace all my digitals with magnetic ballasts.

are there any troubleshooting/repair uides out there for the digital greehouse systems ballast?

I've been searching all over google and can't find a thing.

HTG won't help me........can't find the receipt and they won't look up my invoice for me.
Kind of leaves me fucked for my outdoor grow as now I can barely veg anything and my plans to start stuff inside are going downhill quick.

all I have is a 150w hps in my small cab, and that can only hold a few moms.

Don't really have access to a secure outdoor vegging area where I could set up a small greenhouse. May find a place in the woods or something......I'm not sure yet.
