Get yourself some Microbe-Lift BMC for the fungus gnats. That stuff kicks ass.

have it,apparently i wasn't using enough...it's going to be cold at night here so i'm hoping freezing will kill off the eggs...

at least it wasn't root aphids...and all the rootballs were robust and white

I had root aphids once. I alternated using BotaniGard 22WP and Azamax for a couple weeks and that got rid of them. I added nematodes too after that stuff just for a little extra. Still using the same soil.

i usually add the BAS BB powder to my teas just in case...and some soil critters are on the list for re-amending,probably via worm castings from the colorado company

Hi there, amazing growing my friend.
So 'build a soil' is a bit like 'pick and mix' shopping for organic matter? (might be a UK thing) And they all have fancy names? Edit - sorry if I sound stupid I'm not sure if it's a joke or not
