OK, I dig you daddy! Glorified cold frame. I was looking at the pic/plan.

The cold frame is a good idea but don't forget ventelation during the day! Temps rise quickly and much higher than outside temps under glass/plastic. Also go with a white interior instead of black your plants will thank you for the extra light! Sand is a good thermal conductor for the flooring, it drains well and dispurses heat. Good Luck!
