I'm going to run a couple of 4x4 areas with Bubba Kush. It's a really nice smoke and finishes well. Most likely the setup will be 32 plants in each 4x4.This is the reason people aren't running rooms of it. For a while you could find packs all day but it quickly fell out of favor.
Could it be that its roots are simply weak genetically? This would make it a good scion to put on some aggressive rootstock. I have some really amazing rootstock seeds fresh that made me think of this. The thing is, some genotypes/phenotypes take to the rootstock very well like 80 percent survival, while others do not, like 40 percent survival. If used as a scion on a good rootstock, It would likely be better, wider cannibinoid profile, than the original and live up to it's full potential.Bubba kush isn't known to be a yielder, but that's because of the slow veg time. If you can get them rocking in veg and big enough, you will get the weight you want to justify the run. It just takes some time to get them big enough.
Not interested. Roger that.Could it be that its roots are simply weak genetically? This would make it a good scion to put on some aggressive rootstock. The best way would be to take an adult cutting as scion and pair it with a seedling rootstock with hella roots (SAR) of the same size as the branch. Just like you would take a clone, and use that on the main stem of the seedling when the sizes are as close to the same size as possible. You want everything to line up. This is where you want the silicone grafting sleeves, but I've seen people use that white (nylon?) thread tape, plumbers tape and it worked fine. If the plant shows noticed vegetative vigor as a scion... that's the problem, its lost out genetically at the roots likely from over focus on flower during breeding. It would be a worthy experiment. Who wants to try it? I have too much going on here. No room. I can provide basic advice and recommendations for greater survival rate. It takes about the same amount of time as to root a clone, so 10-14 days before the graft is healed.
Like putting a more powerful engine under it.
