I grew a shit load of bubba crosses too from many breeders. No offence but never heard of verdant green before. How long have has he been in the business?
also grew swerves pre98 bubba and found out the guy is the biggest scammer ever.

CSI definitely is solid.

I don't know the details to the post and I wanted to point out the fact that there are a lot of people saying they have things when they actually don't. CSI isn't one of those people.

Years later, I still keep the cut from the first S1 seed I popped from you @VerdantGreen, the mocha coffee berry liquor smell is to die for, topped with great high, I love it.

See thats another reason why i wont be trying it now. you spoke about the smell and the high but nothing about the taste. everyone i know who speaks of the bubba starts off with the taste because it is overwhelming.
every plant i grow has a great smell and high lol

Yeah but even mistakes aside, how can something be made legit just because a respected grower said so ?

I don’t mean that as disrespectful but seriously, think about it. If you can’t source something back to anyone initially related , how can something be legit because someone said so ?

I think as growers, we created this problem by putting people on a pedestal as if they are somehow above everyone else and not just people.

Well you may want to check with him because that doesn’t look like what I have. He sent someone on OG a 91 cut saying it’s from me and it was clearly Giesel. He got clones second hand from me btw

ive done my homework and my conclusion is that nothing beats the original clone only in terms of taste. im done with seeds. if you think you have a better or identical tasting bubba in terms of intensity then why dont you offer clones instead of seeds.

No offense to you but I just read your thread on rollit up and those plants don't look right to me. The pre 98 kinda looks like it's dudded out a bit too.. could be high Temps tho, but if i had to guess id say dudding on the pre 98 ..no resin is a give away...i dunno they have that look to me.....the leaves are super dark green at week 5 too so maybe a tad over fed aswell
Kushes aren't easy to grow especially if your trying to grow them the same way you grow other strains... thats my opinion. Could be bogus clones, could be dudding, could be grower error or a mix of all 3..... There's a ton of room for improvement on those... I probably wouldn't run them again either.

You are probably right about the dudding. dookie got the viroid from shabud apparently and he then shut down. so ya maybe that pre98 had the viroid. the matt berger didnt dudd though and it grows just like the bubba i remember but taste wasnt really there.

i agree that kush are harder to grow. they dont like the heat but i grew lots of kush back in the day and taste was always on par.

In the UK seeds are legal (because fishermen use hemp seed to attract fish and stimulate their appetites) but cannabis drug and growing are illegal. Maybe one day.
Plus, the reason why i make seeds is to back up my favorite clones and varieties just in case the day comes when i lose my plants. Offering them for sale and trade was secondary to that for me... but when seeds are legal here it seems the way to go.
