lol, no butt hurt here. "pre 98," mint, green, and purple all grown and smoked....and I can say that pre98 is nothing special compared to them.

It's not our fault most of the sickest strains in the world, as well as the most retarded growers in the world all come from here. There are normal people here too you know!
I can totally see where everyone comes from though. Some of the posts I've seen from these SFV growers made me wanna move out of here. I won't even quote anyone as I'm sure anyone who's ever followed one of these kush threads has seen these wanksters. 28 year old punks that moved to the SFV 10 years ago and think they've taken it over. It's not about bringing anyone down sbaegis, not at all.. I like ogstra's report, and what he contributes via pics and posts to this site.. I tried to choose my words carefully, and intended no offense to him..
I've said it before, and I'll say it again.. all Bubba is pretty damn dank.. and that's all u need to know for most people in most cases..
But for me, knowing I've grown or smoked the original is very important... I wanna experience the actual clone that built the reputation, not a different pheno..
It's gotten to the point, with all the S1s/crosses, that Bubba is no longer realy a single cut, but almost like a rare seedstrain, where there's many keeper cuts of varying degrees of goodness.. So how does one go about doing a smoke report of a clone only that has tons of dif phenos? I dunno what the right way is..
But i'm not trying to say anyone is right or anyone is wrong, or that the cut in this thread is definately not the original.. jus voicing my opinion, so other people who are trying to see if their's is legit can see both sides of the story and make their own decision..

Let me clear some things up for you all that I guess I shoulda mentioned them before posting...FIRST OFF
1. I got this clone from a medical club. I have not yet verified the genetics 100%. The club guaranteed me it was original pre 98, NOT S1. This could be a lie for all I know, but this club was pretty trustworthy. Everyone that has smoked this bud and knows Bubba claims this is the real Bubba. I've even sometimes expressed my feelings that it COULD be S1, and they immediately say I'm just paranoid and this is the real deal.
I shoulda mentioned this, but then again WHO does have the real Bubba and how can they prove it? I'm getting kinda tired of this.
I like this strain to the point that if someone were to give me a verified real deal I don't know if I would replace this strain with it...I like it that much.
2. Growing conditions: This is my second run with this strain. I made a huge mistake this run...I grew this strain side by side with an ECSD. The ECSD grew over 2ft higher than the Bubba and nearly blocked out all intense light. As a result of this I got a much lower yield than normal with EXTREMELY airy buds. ALSO, my RO system broke mid-veg...leaving me with 800 PPM tap water to play with. Working on gettin that fixed...
This was not the case in my last grow as I got very dense nugs with proper light coverage. I'll try to dig up some pics in a few.

This is not going to help me, you should tell me WHY it doesnt grow like it and WHY the buds don't look like it. You are calling me out without providing any information on why you are right.
Also, I live in so-cal...I know what good weed is. I try hundreds and hundreds of medicinal and non medicinal strains yearly. To say this strain should receive ALL 10s...meh...it's good, but there are lots of strains out there, NOT TO MENTION many other kushes that might be better.

I know what you are saying...The Bubba does make my face tingle and make me say WOW...but I am comparing this strain to sooo many other good strains. When I made this report I was smoking Bubba Kush, Romulan, ECSD, Goo and Trainwreck. Those alone are some tough strains to compete against...and they all have VERY potent highs that make me say WOW.
I think you all are misinterpreting my definition of POTENCY. POTENCY to me is raw power of the bud. I find strains like Trainwreck and Romulan to have more "RAW POWER" to the high...meaning I can smoke 1 fat bowl and just sit and be out of it. Bubba gives me a super pleasant high that makes me feel BETTER than almost any other bud...but not necessarily more POWERFUL. I don't really know how to explain this....
I guess I would have rated the Bubba a 10 on "Quality of high" but an 8.5 on raw potency. Whatev.
I didn't mention the coffee smell/taste because I tried to describe a deeper smell than just saying coffee. It does have a coffee-like smell, along with mint, diesel, kush, and some sweet fruityness. The smell becomes more sweet with curing.

I do know that I grew out S1 OG KUSH and it didn't really smell/taste anything like the OG kush I know (similar I guess but not even close to as good). I stopped growing this strain because it didn't satisfy me...The Bubba blows it away in every category...so if this is an S1 it musta been from a large sample.

Hows it goin...refer above to my comments about water and lighting conditions and my definition of potency. Also, I grow chem hydro...and the flavor of this bud is the best I've tried to date...I just don't give anything 10s cuz I simply haven't tried EVERYTHING.

Hey Ogstradamus, does that thing always go that purple or is it temp related. Cuz my last run everything in the room went purple and the on purpose purple strains went damn near black! Nice show and is this a cut or S1, not that it matters.LOL O.K. Again, seriously, I'd grow this in a 2nd, and if I was close to ya, or it was easy enough (i'm on the other side of the border) I would gladly hook u up with my cut or some samples to compare.. It's not about 'I have this and you don't', i'd gladly share it with you, or anyone who contributes well to the boards and generally a positive person.
I wouldn't ever be so cocky that i could 100% indentify bubba from pics, that's why i only gave u my feelings after your description, and they were jus comments, the same thing I'd say to you in person, after handing u some of mine to compare..

As far as how u can tell of it's pre 2K1 (the pre'98 doesn't mean anything), well, if u can trace the passing history of the cut back to before 2001 (when Orgnkid made S1s) then it's original bubba, as long as she matches all other traits known to bubba aswell of course..
But dude, that cut u have looks awesome, and it sounds wicked. There ain't nothing wrong with what ya got.. But if you're a stickler for details u may still wanna grow some more bubba cuts, u may be able to find one that's better. and that's basicaly all i was saying.

i got to smoke sum Bubba Kush from a reputable source and wow it does smell strong.. Idont know about potence and we smoked like 10 bowls in two hours just us two...but then again im a heavy smoker...smooth,smell, taste....reaked in the car

i think those look fuckin awesome ogstradamus! im growing bubba right now and as far as all these decriptions are concerned im faily convinced i have i good bubba. the smells you all are talking about for the most part i can smell and all the buds seem to be growing so tight they are like little greem rocks.
i had a buddie bring me some finished bubba and im hooked it was so dence you couldn't crush it with your fingers and the smell OMFG (Amazing!) it brought me to a whole new high.
i to am from so cal ive seen some good bud but this one is my new favorite by far and im lucky to finally have it in my garden.
