it looks like i am getting pollen from the pre-98 cut i reversed... so hopefully there will be lots more bubba S1s in a couple of months or so

Nice VG, I will be looking to get a couple packs for the seed stash since I just popped my 5 pack 2 weeks ago and have a flowering run going (of other genetics) at 2 weeks 12/12, so lots of time yet until space opens up for them to flower. Should get a halfway decent veg in on em.
Ill get some pics up when there is something to look at.

Well ive only ran one female, so all observations are limited.
The goals i had for the bx were the preservation of bubba terpene profile, a moderate increase in yield, and improved structure.
So as far as this plant goes its basically a failure XD. The blue satellite terps came through dominant, and the lack of vigor more than cancels any gains from improved structure and yield.
Once i run a few more ill see if they are worth keeping.

yeah like you say one plant is inconclusive and you may find what you are looking for by popping more. ime the bubba terp profile never comes through very strongly in crosses or bx's often there is some bubba funk in there but generally mixed with the terp profile of the other parent. in theory though an S1 should be more likely to breed true for a given trait than its parent.

Agreed, I want MOAR. Im going for 2-3 packs this time if my trigger finger is fast enough.
Transplanted my 5 pack of VGS Pre98s to 3 gallon bags of some quality organic soil mix has been recycled a couple times. I sprinkled some myco and azos in the holes before the ladies got plugged into them and then watered them in with a 38hr brewed compost tea (microbeman simple recipe) using my own homemade castings. I think another week or two more veg then its 12/12 time. Hoping to get a rooted cut off each so I can keep the best around.

germination test on the new S1s came out at 100% - although i only popped 4 seeds
