what dose did u use? i do know that if u use 1tbs per gallon it will turn the pistals brown but does no other damage and the plants continue flowering with no issues

Trying this blend:
1 teaspoon a gallon of safer BT cat killer
1/8 teaspoon gal protekt
1/2 tablespoon a gal greencure

I spot tested the blend on some varieties in different stages of flower. Well see how it changes the color of the pistols.

1/2 tablespoon a gal greencure

The blend darkened hairs for sure. The mickey kush in week 7 went super dark. The cheese candy in week 5 only went dark a little. Other samples I tested in week week 1 and 2 didn't have any negative effects.

I wonder if the high pH of the greencure doesn't kill the BT bacteria? I know that when I was using greencure on some plants in the past for PM it definitely burnt hairs and the tips of my leaves. Took care of the PM though, it would show up again in around a week though. Never had a problem with PM since then *knock on wood*.

Can u spray BT the next day after spraying a fungicide like green cure or should u wait a day in between? I usually wait a day.

Hello all,

Sprayed with Greencure/silicon two days ago, some pistel browning but nothing substantial.

I have to spray tomorrow evening with Bt...I have seen cucumber beatles and a leaf here and there with what looks like spider mite damage but there are no mites or eggs to be seen.

I am feeling like 2 more weeks to finish...they are ready to swell up.

Can't sleep...worried about rippers more than bugs.

i would think it would render them useless if they are spores. idk for sure though just my opinion

maybe go with 1tsp next time and see what happens. i used the 1/4( the small scoop that comes with GC) tsp to 1 liter and it didnt burn mine this year. how is that cheese candy doing bro? does it have a really skunky smell yet to it?

i hear ya bro they have already hit 5 of my plants this year. ive pulled a couple a week or ten days early bc of them but what i got left out i need about 10 days left to finish up myself. hopefully everthing will be there for the both of us when we go back to choppy chop:whee:

Hello all,

Kygiacomom what time of the day were you ripped? I ask because I am trying to compile so sort of reference that can be used to help prevent future rippers from stealing someone else's work/buds/profit.

For example, were they visible, was it so called friends or perhaps utility service guy/mailman saw them...what do you think you could have done different to prevent this next time.

Any info that you can think of would be helpful.

Silently waiting (wearing camo's hiding in the bushes with a can of bear mace and ball bat).

So that's 1 teaspoon a gallon instead of the 1/2 tablespoon (1.5 teaspoons) silverback recommends?

I'm not gonna knock the cheese candy strain but my pheno is not impressive. Its not that vigerous, doesn't flower early, no smell...yet. But it may end up being dank. It has at least 3 more weeks. No pm or bud rot but I notice the mites seem to like it a bit. Its so late I definitely won't be growing it outdoor again at 45 lat though. I had high hopes for her to finish in September. Maybe u would have better luck with her.

I just saw some tiny caterpillars on the girls today. I'm running out and getting some BT tomorrow to spray them with. I'm NOT gonna let them get the best of me and I'm sure as shit not pulling them down early. Not gonna happen.

its always been in the evening time they got mine. i got it narrowed down to 3 people now and with deer cameras i buy this year i will find out 100% who it is and if its who i think it is then it will be payback time.i think its this junkie that lives across from me. i know what i have to do to avoid it next time and that is not grow on the hill in front my house which is about 16 acres of my uncles land, but these mfers around here dont care about no tresspasing sign.. i will take a 10 min drive from my house and plant singles at different locations. im also gonna put some on the hill behind my house. the reason i never went to the hill behind my house before was it faces west so the sun dont hit it till around 1130am but once it does hit them it stays on it till sun goes down. i think to be able to get earlier sun i will go to the main top of the mountain and plant singles so they will get sun from around 730am till 845pm in the summer.

Make sure you are using BT-k, Bacillus Thuringiensis var. kurstaki

"How does Btk work?

The Btk bacterium produces a protein crystal during the spore-forming stage of its life cycle which is toxic only to the larvae (caterpillars) of specific insect species. These microscopic crystals are ingested by insects when they are feeding on foliage treated with Btk. In the alkaline environment of the susceptible insect's digestive system, the crystals are converted into toxic protein molecules that destroy the walls of the insect's stomach. The insect usually stops feeding within hours and dies within two to five days."

Don't wait until you see damage, you should be applying it as part of IPM if you have caterpillars or moths in your area. Once you see the chomp, you probably already have eggs laid all over.

You can spray BT-k in rotation with other sprays without any rest period; it's bacterial not a chemical spray so there should be no interaction.

Hope that helps,

i think he rec 1/2 tbs per 1 gallon but he didnt mix all the other stuff that u did either. really interesting that Cheese candy isnt doing good yet. team microbe grows at the same lat as u and said its absolute fire smoke with big yeilds and huge potency. i guess u will have to wait and see how it turns out in the end before u can really weigh in on it. i hope it turns out fire anyways bc i am looking for a good cheesy strain. right now the list of cheese im looking at is swiss cheese, frencheese, freeze cheese 89,cheese candy and cheesy headband. if the cheesy headband is anything like the blueberry headband from ET then it will be dank as fuck! BBHB has earned a spot in my top 5 strains to run everyear for consistency in all the aspects i look for. mold resistance, potency, and yeild.

EVERY season we use:

We success-

Serenad ..(prevent defense)
Montery BT (grown killer)
Montery Take Down (egg killer) (prevent defense)
Spinoside (prevent defense)

Outdoors in California you will ALWAYS deal with issues.
Be prepared - plan ahead and be in the PREVENT DEFENSE MODE.

Even being well prepared outdoors you will loose a little - its outdoors.

I sprayed mine last night with the Bt-k and I figured I would follow up with a spinosad spray for the couple of thrips I saw. Follow that one up with the Bt-k again and then let them ride it out til harvest.
