Bruce Banner #3

BB3 has a tendency to throw 3 finger leafs when stressed. I usually don't sweat in young plants and especially when I see that healthy natural branching structure as in Boyd's pic/plant.

Boyd Crowder

Teem MiCr0B35
when she arrived she was mega stressed
she had an avid tolerant, 2spotted borg infection ,in some loose coco (knocked her over on acci on the way home)
and fairly even 27%ish borg damaged leaves
she luckily had over 15 nodes
she had to survive 2 weeks of gentle quarantine with gruelling dips in various bug killers
under a powerful 50w pigtail cfl

she survived
thats what elites do
they always survive
they always root
they are resistant to the worst
they rarely disapoint even the rank noobies
thats an elite cut

sometimes, you just get lucky

I find her to be especially fussy indoors. Very thin. Much more so than Ghost OG.

I have a couple plants a 7wks. Hydro. Not impressive. Skywalker OG is along side and way way better. But everybody says my cut of Skywalker is the best they have had. So maybe not a fair comparison.

I have heard she is much happier outdoors.

@mushroombrew I'm not sure about all that brother, but I'm not a fan of Skywalker OG personally ;-)~

BB3 suffers much of the same grow difficulties as her mother OG Kush (ghost cut). Some growers will struggle with her while others will not and it's not a lack of grower skills/experience thing IMHO. I've been seeing/saying the same thing about OGs in general long before BB3. Maybe the Skywalker (Blueberry X Mazar) cross suits your grow style/flower preferance better than the Strawberry Diesel (NYC Diesel x Strawberry Cough) cross of BB3.

As for BB3 being happier outdoors, I'm from the Great Lakes and do not believe that to ring true. At least not here.

I’ve never grown her outdoors. Only on my first flowering set. I have 8 in different stages of flower. I have some new cutting I just transferred showing my leaf structure. This’s my first time with her, do I think she does take some getting used too and seeing what she likes best. But here’s a few shots of mine. They were just transplanted a week ago and others a cpl days into 5 gal buckets

@billb Nice collection there brother. I did some breeding with Sour Dubb and GG4 along with the BB3 (NASA Bruce) recently. I dropped a few of the Sour Dubb x Apollo 13 F4 beans during the recent eclipse. They're next up when I get back to flowering ;-)~

Yeah its odd. Might just not be a good cut. Ghost does great in my show. The Banner not so much.

I was refering to Skywalker OG. Not Skywalker. My cut is OG dom.

Nice, very nice MB! How do you like the skyealksr og? I’ve seen some pics and read abt it just haven’t been able to acquire the cut yet. Thsnk you for the compliments, it’s good to have good friends! :)
I just harvested abt 2 weeks ago, I’m running perpetual harvests every 3-4 weeks. Here’s a pic of current. I run 4 315’s. I’ve always grown outdoor. My 2nd time to ever go indoor. I love it, so much easier

Who was that who used to work with Apollo 13and blue something. I can’t remember. I bet that bb3 x Apollo 13 is so fire I bet. Have you found the pheno you were looking for or are looking for? Purceville that’s who worked with it for a long long time years. I remember him on the dj short thread he sent me all kind of dj short gear. Back in 07’,08’ time period

@billb My Apollo 13 F4 male came from Motarebel Genetics/breeder Mendel's stock.

I have yet to choose a NASA Bruce phenotype preference. I like to give the flowers some jar time and get some experience with smoking it first.

I never thought I'd see myself as a pollen chucker brother :-o

It's a long story and sounds a bit strange honestly, but the BB3xA13 cross came to me in a dream years ago. This is my very first cannabis breeding project and it has been in the works ever since.

I am a vet suffering from the common physical and mental aliments found within our disabled veteran community. Medicinally no strain has brought me more relief than at first Brother Grimm's Apollo 13 and more recently Bruce Banner #3. I have a hunch this is due to the slight THCV presence as found in many African sativa landraces. That said, I believe the golden ticket in this NASA Bruce breeding journey to be a cultivar with something like .5-1+% THCV. In the dream I named that phenotype Claymore Aiken ;-)~

As for breeding experience in general I began breeding South American dwarf cichlids in college. I later competitively bred K9s while training, working with and showing them for them for decades. So I'm at least not clueless as to the workings of genetics, but in the end it is indeed a lottery ...

Does she every get any smell? I'm at five weeks and absolutely no smell yet.

She's not much of a stinker, more of a low key fruity/flowery scent. A couple weeks in a jar really enhances her flavor and it's her flavor that really shines. Aside from that wicked buzz of course ;-)~

Feel free to drop us some pics here brother.

A couple BB3 kolas from my current run at 7 weeks. She's starting to be flushed now for a chop at 9 weeks.

nice lookin stud bro
wish I had space for pollen chuckin

do you have room to grow at least one female? do you have a south facing window in your house/appartment? if yes to both, you have enough room for pollen chucking. I can easily pollinate a lower branch and have no seeds whatsoever in the main colas. if you do get one, so what!?
