Brownpants' Citrocity and Very Berry Surprise

Hey Everybody,

I thought it was time to start my very own grow thread.

I am starting with 6 Citrocity seeds and all 10 Very Berry Surprise seeds. The seeds were soaked in RO/DI water for about 18 hours, then planted in some shultz seed starter soil with about 1/3 perlite. They are under 2 23w cfl lights in a veg cabinet.





The clones in the background are providing some encouragement to the new seeds.

cooooool cant wait for the very berry..i got 10 seeds and was thinkin about using in my next grow. good luck man..do you know what the genetic makeup is on the berry? what it's crossed with?

I have no clue about the Very Berry Surprise...They are pretty tight lipped about it...people have tried. I don't know how many strains are in the mix or whether it is just one strain crossed I am growing all 10 seeds to see what I get.

It's been 48 hours since the seeds were planted.
Looks like 6 of 6 Citrocity and 8 of 10 Very Berry Surprise germinated.
Citro's in the round cups and VBS are in the square pots.











I was there when they popped through...now they think I'm their mother.

Day 4


I have been adding some soil around the base of the stems for support.





I dug up the two Very Berry Surprise seeds that did not pop...They both had a small root, so I reburied them very shallow this time and have been misting them...they are now starting to come up....slowly...they just needed a little





So Far 100% germination

I can't wait to see how the very berry goes.. if it looks great I think I should start them all..

Looks like the two slow-starting seeds are going to be just fine.







The Very Berry are in the square pots and the Citrocity are in the round ones.

DAY 12

I just moved them under my 400w MH...Hoping for faster growth...Can't wait for them to really get growing. I also added some worm castings on top for a little nitrogen.

hey Brownpants, those look great!! They will surely love the stronger light. I use worm castings too, early on, great stuff, never burns. What other nutes ya gonna use?

Hey Stankbud, Thanks for dropping in.

My organic mix consists of promix, perlite, worm castings, bone meal, blood meal, kelp meal, little dolomite lime and some epsom salts. The seedlings will be going into this soil when I transplant them...Not sure yet when I will do it. I don't usually add any other fertilizers except what is in the soil mix. I do use water from my fishtank, I guess it is a type of fertilizer. :smile:

Day 16

Transplanted the seedlings into larger pots containing my organic soil mix. They should really take off now.
