I have 8 Sativas in the 13th day of 12/12. Found this on one plant....a couple of lower leaves. Rest of this plant SEEMS fine. The rest of the plants seem fine. Indoors - 100% coco - 134PPM tap water - 2 gal pots - 6x watering - DTW - 1.2EC - 5.9 - 6.0 Ph. Good temps, humidity and air flow. Any opinions/ideas? Thanks!:tiphat:

It looks like Sulfur deficiency to me.. I grow soil so I really don't know DTW. I add epson salt to soil to prevent it. IDK if you can add a tbs to water

Thank you Americangrower! :tiphat:
I could add a Tbs of epson salt to water. Just need to first make sure I'm treating the correct problem.
Anyone else have an opinion?

Haven't seen any. Looked closely at the underside of the leaves and nothing that I could see. What's the most effective treatment for spider mites?

Glad you're not seeing any. Lots of threads about spider mites on this forum that go into great detail. I wouldn't want to side track you with all that if you don't have them, they're a curse. Your leaf pics with the white/brown specs just kinda looked like they might be a possibility.

That was my thought, too....spider mites. Use Title Thread Search- lots of info/remedies regarding to pesky little buggers.

Buy a cocoon of ladybugs (they eat mites) even if they aren't mite's ladybugs won't hurt anything. I always have them in my garden

Ladybugs? :tiphat: Still working my way through some of the Spider Mite threads. Sure hope I don't have them......doesn't seem to be a consensus on how to get rid of them.

If it is insect it looks like Thrips more then mites. Have you seen anything flying around?

either way go to Home depot and buy Monterey Organic Garden Spray, OMRI cert, "contains Spinosad"

it will kill both. just mist plants just before lights go out do it every 2 or 3 days for 3 times and they will be gone..

Thank you!:tiphat:
I already have the following product that also contains Spinosad:

I may try it tomorrow AM before lights out. Haven't seen anything flying around....so hopefully it's a false alarm and won't do any damage at this stage. Today makes 14 days since I began 12/12.

I would guess a early sign of Calcium deficiency. Hard to say from the pics.
Hopefully not bugs, easier to deal with deficiency than insects most of the time.

Best of luck finding the solution.

Sulfur is immobile, def symptoms start on newer growth so I would forget that one.
Runoff ph?

Thank you Hyposomniac! :tiphat:
Appreciate the info on sulphur and helping to eliminate that. I haven't tested my runoff. Heard contradictory reports of how accurate the results are.... That said.....I do religiously check my rez Ph and I realized that I just noticed this issue a day or two after switching out my rez. When I switched to 12/12 (15 days ago) I had the Ph at 6.0....the new rez was at 5.8......figured I'd let it rise on it's own. As of last evening it was still at 5.8.....so I upped it to slightly over 6.0. Think that could be part of the problem? :tiphat:

Youre welcome but my advice is friendly not expert. I think Gorillaganja is right about the calcium, w the brown spots and the yellowing could be early mg def.
I had a few issues in coco semi recently and runoff ph and ec shed light and helped me fix it. I thought i had mites too.
I noticed some experienced dudes around here using 6.2, 6.3 ph in coco and thats what ive been doing with better results

I started the grow with ph 6.0, and ec never above 1.3 (.2 water) Eventually got salt build up despite waterings to runoff. High ec and ph around 5 in the runoff.
Definitely had some sick twisty leaves and calcium spots and some stuff i didnt see on any deficiency charts. Micronutrient toxicty from low ph i suspect.
Also my res was too cold, like under 60. Heating the water to 70 now.
Also watering at .8 ec every few days.
