If you're breeding for SMOKE, as implied by your very first post in the thread, you're breeding for an extremely limited medical value.
Most weed, to be used as medicine for physical ailments, needs to be consumed using another method such as eating it.
o my god someone that reads .... dude your like the only one on here I have ever seen that jumps to the point .not just for a debate . you get 10 points to start with just for that .. and yes I agree . first off I started smoking at the age of 11 the same year I started growing , the statement about 25 years was only about trying to breed a Med weed strain ..and your the first one that came out right and stated a very true fact med weeds are often eatables , I my self make a kick a** brownie ( try nirvanas Blue mystic) use the infused oil .. and old school electric Kool-Aid and a very bad a** green chili dog ...about 5 grams per two cans chili add parsley and onions ,makes about 16 chili dogs ,
now you may think chili dogs are not med .., wrong . they rock and a lot of people like them ..there is almost no taste of weed in them ...for people that have problems eating weed these work great ..
I like cooking and I see a great future for eatables...and extracts ....
and I do breed for smoke and med weeds , see THC pills are far easier to make then most know ..a coffee grinder and some "00" caps are simple and most I have seen do not like the oil added . so dry and pure weed grin fine is all you really need ..
the pills when made that way are one of the purest eatables you can get ...it makes a small amount of weed go a long ways .
you bring up a very good point .
dispensers vs home made ...are the dispensers controlling the market more then the quality of the products ?
other then the easy part for med users dose the dispensers profit more then care ...there are some good and bad but what do you think ..?
and Multi base strains are the hardest to breed correctly ..
smoke by day med by night ..
so here is another question ..
the new smoker steps up to the dispenser , how much do they even know about med weeds and or self medicating ..are we going to leave this up to the dispensary...? I have a real problem at this point ..Law vs ones own judgment ...
this at the center of one of the most complex problems with legalization of cannabis , if you give the public the right to smoke weed then are you giving them the right to self medicate ...?
if you give them the right to smoke you can no longer control it or tax it directly.
ok if that's the case then you see my point about dispensers, their need to the law is far greater to stay in business then their need to help the consumer ...and are they going to control the med value of the products ...the fact is the problem is bigger then we think it is ...
