bought this just to grow in

So i want your thoughts. I was going to do a PC grow but that seemed limited so i thought a small cabinet but that was to small. So saturday i went out and bought this for £20 its fairly big i would say at least 3ft tall, how tall could i grow the plants in this, making a DIY caron filter would be ideal, i am also thinking of bringing air in though the bottem by drilling some holes, what do you guys think ?

should do just fine, what kind of light and ventilation system though?

I would go with PLL or CFL and get a few computer fans. Should be able to wire them onto a potentiometer or light dimmer to adjust the temp and humitiy!

Well i amazingly found a CFL which has been hard to come by in local shops over here i found 40 watt CFL 6400k which is close to what they need, i have to now source out the E27 bulb fitting as i paid £6 for 2. here is the picture of the bulb


I also bought this as well £3.50 its activated carbon already in a bag so gonna use the pull system to pull air though it in a small container


For the Intake im gonna drill some holes in the bottom with a fan drawing air from underneath and some a fair few more computer fans around the cab, also gonna go with about 120 watts of light for veg, 120 for flower

Is the bulb 40w or just equivalent to 40w? I know around here a true 45w cfl costs over $10usd

its 40w which is equivalent to a 200w regular bulb, there normally a bit more expensive but i managed to find a shop which didn't realise what they really had so im gonna stock up there bulbs for veging also been making some other adjustments to the grow before the seeds come

I'm not sure exactly what style you plan on using to grow plants in that thing, but before you get too far, you should defiantly check out Dr greengenes thread(link in my sig) on his cabinet grow.

i was thinking of scrogging or a tie down and training them grow i only plan on growing 2 at a time with a home made carbon filter, thank you Toastfighter2 i will have a look now

I don't know what of light system you're going to use. But that's a nice lil grow cupboard. I was thinking of maybe you drilling a hole or some small holes up top for the lights, so your babies have room to grow. Also maybe a mini humidifier?
