I get this sometimes on my lips pulling tubes and found its from the smoke and not the water. Some strains do it worse than others. Usually Im drinking a pepsi so I can use it to strip off the resin layer on my lips or follow it up with a napkin wipe. I also tried pulling slower [ not smaller ] hits so the smoke wasnt as concentrated and that seemed to help too. You can 'test' a strain by using a clean old white sock over the mouth piece before you pull a regular hit and see how much it tars up.

Yeah my friends and I noticed this when taking 2 liter gravity hits of sourbubble. It would leave a not so nice resin bloch in your mouth.
You literally could wipe your tounge off with a paper towel and see all sorts of goo

Put this on the list of the trials and tribulations of getting older....

I've got a goatee beard, and as I have gotten older, it has grown progessively towards the white side. This includes the mustache part of the beard, which is mostly white....like 90%.

When I rip bong hits, and clear the chamber, I suck up some bong water (the bong is a relatively short one, about 9" of glass between the top of the water and my mouth. This bong water ends up leaving a dark brown stain on the white 'stache. This happens even when I keep the water pretty clean.

I forget to check for this stain sometimes before I leave the house and walk around in public with this ugly ass brown stain on my face. Eeeewwwww.

Lol reminds me of Police Academy when Mahoney puts the shoe polish on that guys bullhorn.

I had this black domina x hindu kush which seemed to be full of tar. Grown it myself, so no shit in it. Every time you hit it it would leave a stain on your lips and teeth. With every hit!
I've had it happen but never this bad. It clogged up the entire joint in the end.
Does anyone have an idea why you have this more with some strains?

I'm currently smokin 3 different strains, and it seems to happen with all of 'em. I'm not sure if it is the bong water, or if the inside of the glass itself is getting a thin coating of resin that transfers to the 'stache.

Isopropyl alcohol takes it off, but man does it burn like a mofo.
