Well after several successful grows indoors I thought I'd take it outside this summer and use the sun (save a little on electricity too). I don't have to much space to work with and security is a concern so I decided on containers. My garden consists of 2 Romulan, 2 Shiskaberry both clones from bay area clubs. I also have 3 Mapleleaf Indica x P13 and 3 Calimist from seed. The Calimist has not shown its sex. Maybe someone can help me out with the mapleleaf Indica x P13. I got them from seedbay some time ago. Can't find anything out on the P13 side. Yes it's P13 not G13. At least thats what it says on the bag they came in. Started them all inside under flouro's. Had just stuck them outside in 1 gal cantainers when I left for Europe in April for the cup. We were gone 3 weeks and they missed my care. Anyway have used Foxfarm oceanforest and lightwarrior. Havent ferted with anything but the organics in the soil mix. Most are in 15 gal containers. Enough said here's some pics.

Hello Dr. D hope your day is going well. I guess you could say they are still vegin. I started the seeds in April and purchased the clones in April also. After about 3 weeks under flouro's inside they went outside. When I was in Europe for the cup and some touring they were not taken very good care of so I had to revive em when I got back. But they have not started to flower yet and like I mentioned the Calimist haven't even shown sex yet. So I guess the answer would be over 2 months. I don't believe I'll see real flowering start until the end of July when the days get shorter here.

Babba and OHenry thanks for visiting, I've been very lonely. :yoinks: Babba you sure are right about the spring and rain this year. Infact when I brought the clones out from 24 hr to outside they started flowering big time. I figured at least some of it was caused by the dark days and rain during that period. But as you can see they are good now. OHenry brother long time no hear from. Your grow is rocking too! Yes, west coast weather sure helps, a bit strange this year though. Hope to see you this summer.

Well hello OH! (shit say that 5 times real fast) The girls are coming along nicely. I will update with some pics by this weekend. They are getting close to the top of the fence though. I think I'm going to have to move them, unfortunately they are bathed in light from a street light at night. I'm afraid it will hinder the flowering period. By the way thanks for the help with the clones. So far so good!

Hello Babba hope all is well with your grow! Are yours starting to flower yet?

Hi Boink

A street light light bathing your plants at night is one of the worst things for your flowering girls.
Is it possible to make the fence higher, by perhaps putting up some kind of cane/straw carpet and this will sheild your plants, and not draw attention to a higher fence- it will look like you want to plant some kind of creeper. Or even plant some kind of a creeper.

If the plants are getting very tall, it is always possible to tie them down a bit, with a strong piece of rope/string

Hi Ronley! Thanks for coming by and the advice. It is possible to raise the fence and that would combat the height but not the street light. Interestingly about the street light....I had thought about the light from it but wasn't sure. Then Jorge's RX mentioned it in the new high times that came yesterday. Also you and Babba. So needless to say I need to address it. I can move them about 20 feet and they are covered from direct light by trees and shrubs (only problem here is the sun field isn't as good) or I figured I could do kind of a cover at night, tarp or something. :chin:

If they're getting to tall then lay them down on a 45 degree angle. All the lower bud sites will better develop and you'll easily take care of the height problem. You should take a piece of ply wood...cut a hole the size of the bucket....make a "kick-stand" and rotate the plant once a day. As far as the light is concerned...take care of that one for sure! Talk soon. OH

I have a friend who has this street light problems , and until he raised the fence he was getting alot of light everynight, Also the thing about street lights is that they have a very high intensity and so it really not good if you want to flower your buds.

Now he says that its much better, and his plants are in the dark at night. I am not sure by how much he actually raised it though I should ask him.
It definitely shows is the quality of the buds.

hilljack and rap props. hilljack you maybe right I have no idea I can't find anything on it all I know is it came from seedbay.

Well I believe I have taken care of the street light problem, tarping. It covers the top and front, taking care of almost all reflective light. You can see the pole in the background.

Here are a few pics from today. They are all running over 3 1/2'. One Calimist was male don't quite know about the other two.
