hey grapepunch,
i have some gp on the way and i wondering if you had any input as to whether this strain would be a good candidate for pain relief from my back problems?
hmmm Polecat...you sure you just arent really high off of those BOG genetics you got growin? Finishing times??? Your right, everyone has a diff. set up, some better than others, and of course some breeders do have the "optimal" conditions going. But come on brother....asking or should I say demanding that breeder give "real" finishing times is BS. To be honest I never go by what the breeders suggest or by what everyone else does. I let my fine herb tae it course, and if it takes a little longer so be it. I am not trying to sound like a d*ck, just what I believe and think. Keep it green and safe! Enjoy them BOG genetics my man!
Sour Cheers!
Like an escape tunnel in prison, I was made from scracth!
i hear you PALM but think about it. it's very important to have an accurate flowering time so you can adjust nutes properly. please don't feel like this is an attack on GP or BOG or anyone. i have spoken to others and all agree. not one person that i talked to had the ambitious flowering times the breeders had! why/how could that be? that's easy, optimum conditions flowering room. i think the consumer should be given better info. is all.
I don't pay much attention to the given flowering times either. I assume a safe 60 day flower period for my grows. If I get an early finisher, its a nice pleasant surprise. If i get a late finish, it should only be another week or so and doesnt usually screw my plans up.
I find it hard to believe that 10 days extra/less will substantially alter a nutrient schedule. And even with that being the case, shouldnt ppms and good ol' 30x scope give you the info you need?
I wrote cown the date as 4-22 when I put that #14 GP into flower. Rather than debating the speed of flowering what do you guys think of the structure? It is very easy to trim when finished if you see what I mean from the leaf pattern. This is the first bud pic on ICmag of GP in flower.
The possibility that GP is medicinal because of its relationship to BOG Lifesaver is yet to be proven. I want real opinions from people with pain and problems to report any signs of phenomes with medicinal properties.
excuse me please, but since when is flowering time not important enough to discuss? depending on my situation, a precise flowering time may be very important. phenotype, structure, blah, blah blah. lets sit down and just talk like you knew me. what time frame does joe/jane blow use as a scale for his/her grow. seems like a reasonable request, as a loyal customer.
hey crunks,
just copy the error message you get when you try to upload pics and paste it in a pm to skip. he'll take care of it. i wasnt able to post pics until this morning. skip had me set up within a few hours after i sent him the error message
i have read enough to see
that the new grape punch is not for me
it's short and slow to reach it's height
and i'll have to guess the flowering time
i wonder if the buds are even tight
No plant has a finishing time, only a finishing window.Depending on individual grower's preferences and tastes, that window may be 2-3 weeks.
I've grown enough commercial seed to choke a horse and I don't even pay attention to reccomended finish times anymore.
If people like Shantibaba,Breeder Steve and Soma cant give an exact finish time, then I don't think it's fair to expect it from GP.
The plants will let you know when they are done the way you like them.
hey jlp, i like 50/50 on trichomes. some head, some body. maybe it's just me but after a couple grows and not even close to flowering time mentioned by breeder i voiced my concern. this particular breeder mentioned his flowering time so i called him on it. then he didn't want to talk about it. i'm not some kid who will purchase just because someone posts a pic of some awesome looking plant. i think i was pretty cool about it. i mean, as a consumer, isn't it my right, my duty, to question a product i'm considering? i thought this was a forum, not a place to try and push your product. and if it is a place for breeders to find customers that's cool!!! just don't dismiss people if they have legitimate questions. but that's just my opinion. thanks!
gp i'll keep you posted as to the medicinal qualities. i'm still waiting on mine to get to me from my safe addy (it 3000 miles away) but i know that they at least made it across the pond
they'll be going in right next to my bogglegum, lsd#1, and lifesaver.
if the breeder isn't growing under less than ideal conditions why would you expect him to be able to tell you something that he can't tell you from first hand experience
maybe he should think of the average consumer and grow under those conditions. you know what, forget it. i'm sorry i brought it up. this troll will go back under the bridge and you sheep can run off the cliff!!!
