Anytime Pacridge :) We got plenty of others here to help now, so with any luck and a great group effort we should be able to get you back on your feet.

Eco- Oh, Great now I gotta worry about another thing I have no exp. with. How hard is it to tell the Hermie from the Fems? Do you have any pictures of these spoilers?

Highlife- Yep, people around here seem very helpful. My plants seem to be making a recovery today. So hopefully all I lost was some time, which as you point out I got plenty. As the Glimmer Twins would say "Time is on my side" Yes it is, yes it is.

Don't want to sound like an arse but you should really check the OG Grow FAq's at Overgrow.com They have great info for nobbies
It took me close to four years of growing bagseeds before moving to bigger and badest seeds out their. My first grow was white widow, Northlights. now its Bog's turn now. i'm on BogBubble one of his hard to master but it a great learning experince:D

Like Forest20 says....takes time. OG is excellent. My situation was that my plants appeared to be all females. As I stated I removed all males, but I did not know that tucked under those sweet buds could be lurkin male pollen sacks.
I suspect this comes from growin bagseed. Also, I've come to under that stress can adversely effect the plant leading to a hermie.
It's not something to worry about. Knowledge and experience comes with making mistakes and just not knowing shit, and fucking up along the way.
There is a great FAQ thread on OG that really illustrates identifying males from females.
http://www.overgrow.com/growfaq/1650
I've not seen any of hermies, though.
But, back to the original situation. Sounds like a plan to get the soil together and staying away from mixing manure in it.
Wishing you success with your grow.

Eco

Thanks Eco- I spent some time on OG and did some posting there. Had some very neg. posts directed at my posts so I haven't gone back. I asked a Q on there about different strains needing different Neuts. I someone replied what a "dumb fucker I was" Well maybe I am a "dumb fucker" but I think it more just not having a lot of exp. with growing MJ.

At any rate thanks for the help and info you've given. It's much appreicated. I'll head over and check out OG FAQ's. I think transplanting my gals into fresh soil has helped already. I have renewed hope in getting a couple of good producers out of what I have now. I'm all for fucking up along the way- that's the way I learned most leasons in life. School of hard knocks degree holder.

So were you saying that stress adds to the chance of a hermie or reduces it?

most plants naturally have the ability to herm, but stress can induce the trait to come out; so if you're looking for a good mother, you can test the plants so you don't end up choosing one that herms easily

Myself, I very rarely do any posting, except to reply to a question like yours. I never post any questions because I am fairly certain someone has already asked and the answer is out there somewhere. I just need to find it. Which sometimes can be frustrating when searches lead to threads a dozen pages long.
I buy every herb magazine that comes out and I am devoted to my "Indoor MJ Grow Bible", though some of the solutions don't always fix the problem because its something else I overlooked. So start collecting the info.
Also, if you can get a copy of Acrobat (not the reader) you can store in PDF all the online info you want. I have a collection of PDFs. Copy the url address and Acrobat opens it lke the web page, including pics. Save the PDF to your HDD. Now you can reference it anytime.
When I get home, I'm gonna PM you regarding this.

Pay no attention to assholes, whether on OG, IC, TY, etc. Just focus on learning to grow and enjoy the company of those who respect you. Fuck the others.

Since the hermies I've decided to really stick to the basics for all my grows. Use large pots (3-5 gals), stick with my tea (guano for veg and first flowering, big bloom for finishing flowering). I've found when I try new stuff the plants just aren't growing properly. Now that I've gone back to basics my vegs look really great, taking off. We'll see about flowering when I sex them and how they turn out.
They're BOGS medley and one Atomic NL

I had a pic of a hermie but it wasn't as clear as I would like it to be for illustration purposes.

Glad to hear that renewed hope in your post. I have found that this is a really strong plant. Can take whatever you throw at it. Hell, I dropped one three different times, spilled right out of the cup 3xs, and is growing seemingly nicely. Its the smallest of the large ones in my last pic .

Well, again, here's wishing you great success with your grow. Be encouraged. Start w/good soil (and seeds) and it'll all be green from there.

Sorry for being so wordy. Just thought this needed to be said.

Eco- Great photos. I see exactly what you're talking about with the Hermie. Yeah I should spend more time reading the FAQ's and I do have a Jorge Cervantes book and one by Ed Rosenthal. I had read through both book regarding trouble shooting why my plants were yellowing. They both basically said it could be "this" or it could be "that." At the rate they were going south I wanted to get as much info as fast as I could. And yes I find it hard to find stuff doing searches because they seem so spread out.

My plants seem to be on the road to recovery now. Though some have be very stunted. Some more so than others. What started out looking very uniform now varies from 4 inches to a mere inch. Oh well live and learn- and I got nothing but time.

As for the asshole factor. I suppose it's a 95-5 thing. Such is life. 95% of people are cool and 5% are assholes probably true on OG as in life. Maybe here as well, just haven't had the displeasure here yet. Everyone here as been great.

Do you have a local supplier for thing like the guano and worm casing and big bloom or do you order it? I live in the middle of nowhere, very small town, less than 200 total. The one local garden, feed, farm, tire, tanning and coffee shop. Store doesn't have much and everytime I get something there I feel like I'm being questioned by the CIA. "Whatta ya want this for?" "now what are you tryin' to grow this late in the season?" "you really should have started tomatoes a long time ago ya know?" I have an Oregon Medical MJ card so I can legally grow 7 plants. But I'm not interested in all my nosiy neighbors knowing what I doing. And in this town if one person knew the whole town would within seconds.

Well I seem to have made it out of the woods for now at least. Bogs Blue Moon Rocks turned out to be some fairly tough sons a bitches. All plants are now filling out with some nice green leaves. Some plants are much smaller than others but all are recovering nicely now. Thanks to all who pitched in with advice and wisdom. Here a couple shots of two that came through the best.
