Bodhi Gear In Oregon - What Did You Grow Last Season?

R

Bodhi strains seem to be a killer option down in California - How do they do farther north outdoors? What did you grow and what will you be growing in 2016?

I posted a more detailed take in the bodhi thread a little while ago.

I grew AOG, Red Eye Jedi, Dream Beaver and Blueberry Hashplant.

One BBH finished late sept. the other phenos were mid oct. finishers.

Jedi were mid-late oct.

AOG's wanted to go until Nov. but I cut oct 25 due to mold.

Dream Beaver finished Oct. 15. I bet there are earlier phenos to be had.

I kept a cut of the early BBH and the rest got axed. I will probably grow some of it next year.

I think the 88g13HP and Appalachian lines are the ones to hunt through for earlier finishers. The Snow Lotus crosses triggered late for me @ 42N and some of the SL stuff I've grown indoors took a long time to finish. Dream Lotus for example went 11 weeks which is longer than the Blue Dream clone.

Thanks TheSilverMullet. I have the BBH and am going to give the Goji Og a shot next year. Hoping they will finish outdoors.

'bout the Goji OG, 5 seeds broke till I got the pack so I started with 6 healthy seeds, ended with 2 females, 1 winner 1 not. ready to mid to late Oct, plants need support... sativa dom strain. bright green buds after harvest, the good pheno is mold resistant and even the lower buds are good sized, easy to trimm.

AOG, from 11 seeds had 5 or 6 females, 2 main phenos... spear shaped buds, also a very stretchy strain, quite similar to Goji OG, its a good strain also.

SSDD, not bad starts to flower late but matures fast, nice white buds with red pistils.

Afgoo x G13HP not bad. very hard to clone... grows fast, yields good, potent, main cola dominant strain.

I enjoyed the Goji at best but only the good pheno, the other was a very weak yielder pheno. from the Ancient OG I keep a very fast growing, good yielder pheno, as we saw in Schrews bro's grow diary this strain can grow unlimited, but takes a lots of space and support.

the ssdd and afgoo x ghp are shorter varieties.

Grew Goji, BBHP, Cherry HP, and Good Medicine HP at near 46 degrees latitude. Grown in lightly amended native soil.

I would grow all varieties again, though the CHP with its fat, dense buds did get a good bit of mold. Chopped around October 10. I would keep an eye on plants and weather, and possibly chop early if necessary. Would make an excellent charas plant...mad resin.

The BBs were pretty phenotypically uniform, all about 10 foot, with a nice balanced structure. CHP seemed to have a squat indica pheno (my only female), and a taller pheno that resembled the BB in structure (male that got chopped).

All of my girls got unintentionally dusted. My guess is by a Hybrids from Hell Polish Demon, as I think he was the first to show. I would be happy with those seeds, as the PD had good structure, hardiness, and a nice smoke. If it was a Bodhi boy that did the dusting, that's swell too. I plan on popping a few of each of the mystery crosses next year, so we'll see what surprises 2016 brings.

I've tried a few Bodhi strains in Washington state. Dream Beaver and a couple others. It was great smoke but barely finished in time, Oct 10. Little mold not a lot. I'll do it again but it's risky. In a bad year you could get screwed so I'd mix in some earlier stuff.

Looking at some of the California grows, I'd like to run all Bodhi but think 30% is a good risk.

Pinning my hopes on the Goji and the BBHP but might as well invest in a bit of SSDD as well.

They just outlawed all commercial sales and production in my county. The bastards. Looks like to stay legal I'll have to go the medical route and sell the excess to medical dispensaries only. Chime in if you have any experience dealing with them.

Anyone tried Blueberry Snow in Oregon?

Bullshit the way they are doing that, I wonder how many dropped money on a new op only to be stabbed in the back and shut down. Legal in the state should be legal in the state period. One county did it just to add a 3% tax should the new ballot pass in '16. Looks like big companies have an unseen hand in convincing these counties to opt out. When 3 or 4 board members can get together after church and decide the fate of the whole county on their own,,,Bullshit! Puts many growers a whole year at least behind the recreational wave.

Now they want to jack the price of med growers fees from $50 to $200. If you have 4 cards that's $800 and a rec license is only $1k. So 24 plants for $800 or hundreds for a grand. Sorry for the rant.

This thread would be better if people would post general area these were tested in. As OR has several different climates. Here in the Wil Val, would be much harder to get to finish vs those who are East Side or South of the Divide.

I have a small collection of packs that I want to run indoor for the pheno hunt then get those outdoors by end of May. Tent time for me and my dogs.

No indoor grow this winter so I am getting that "put some seeds in the dirt" feeling. It is far too early to start outdoor for next summer - I know.

What timeline do you use for popping seeds and sexing plants for next season?

Just guessing here but if you have to hunt for a good pheno I would think one should be popping seeds by end of Jan. That should give time to veg a Mom and pull multiple clones, but barely. Those clones would be pretty short come planting season unless you treated every seed like a Mom and took cuttings before the flip. Then raise them up while your deciding your pheno's. Keep absolute good track of your cuttings. Then should any be weak or throw balls, pitch that one and it's associated cuttings. That's what I'm going to do.

Don't quote me but I read multiple places that we can have unlimited immature plants no height limit after Mar 1st . With in reason I'm sure. But they want some genetics to work it's way into the rec growers hands. Still limited on the Mature, however the one foot rule is gone.
