nice ladies

im thinkin about growing in bubblers.... keep up the good work

Yeah Porkies, I'd say go for it. Even though I'm nowhere near a pro at hydro I'd say
1. Use good quality nutes (I'm using General Hydroponics 3 part)
2. Use 50% of recommended strength
3. Check your ph at least twice a week.
4. Use the largest size bucket you can find, the bigger it is the less maintenenace that is required.
5. Use a nice big airstone to pump up those roots

There will be others out there that will give you much more advice, but these were the basics that I picked up on my last grow.

Here are some pics of the finished bud from those Satori's I've got curing.

One thing I'd say for sure is that hydro definatley pumps up those trichs, the two satori's I harvested look like they have been dunked in sugar!! :sasmokin:

I have not given them a good test yet as they are still curing, but I think later today I'll give it a shot :yummy:

Here is the C99 that I put into 12/12 a week ago

She is gonna be riding the wire when it comes to harvest time as I've got a harvest deadline of 27 December 2006. That is seven weeks to go so she'll have to be chopped a little early.

Next up is the unknown Sativa that I found growing out in my garden.

Turns out that it is a female :woohoo: . She will be staying outside though and will not be put under 12/12 with the c99. This is because South African Sativa's tend to take a loooong time to flower, up to 12/14 weeks. This one I'll keep in a pot all summer and then flower her naturally next year....

That's great advice...every grow is a learning experience...and no two grows are the same....

Impressive harvest Man! You have really got me thinking of changing from the soil :). I got a blue mystic lady at 53 days tonight thinking of chopping tmoz.
Good luck with the c99!

Thanks for the kind words all

Getafix - yah, I'm sorted here. Just shows that if you work hard and fast for 4/5 months you can get yourself stocked up to the eyeballs. Once this grow is done I should have enough to keep me going for the next 6-8 months. This free's up some time to just mess around with the weed.

Neils - I'd say go for it. This was my first proper go at hydro and if a muppet like me can do it so can anyone else. What I'll be doing though is hydro and soil at the same time. My lady does not like hydro all that much so I'll be doinga soil grow to cater for her needs...

Here's a quick update for you all on the c99.

About 2 weeks into flower and she is starting to act the way that she should.

you can see that I've supercropped her to get those budsites spread out. This is my first go at this technique so fingers crossed... :lurk:

I'm gonna try hydro next year. But, I think I might also go for variety in future. Some in the sun in my garden in pots, some outoors guerilla style, some under lights in soil, some hydro...

Yo blunt,

Did you chop that BM at 30% red pistils or did you wait longer? Did you examine the trich color at all? Im curious to know when the best time to chop BM is based on someone elses experience....

are you ready to post a smoke report yet?

Hey Daddy

If I remember correct I chopped at about 30% brown pistils as I prefer the more up'ish high than glued to the sofa.... down to personal preference at the end of the day....

The smoke I got from it was very nice indeed, the buds were a bit whispy, but that was due to having 2 plants in that bubbler and also not adjusting the PH regularly, (nute-lockout).

It gives an up body stone, sometimes when I smoke it and chill on the sofa I get that warm fuzzy feeling...very relaxing.... not super potent but good enough to get ya blazed...
