My younger brother had a caregiver with a strain called Old Time Blue. I really dug the treps. of that one. No clue where from ( breeder ) possibly a DJ line. That monster i have could be almost all vanilla ( I dont care for vanilla strains ). Dude had 2 phenos that got mixed up. If #1 vanilla if #2 major Blueberry. Pretty sure, well damn near positive its #1 now. She's a gonner after this run unless it makes a drastic turn. Never found a true BB that is very potent but thats totally fine with me. Trust me im gonna get stoned reguardless. Its all about the taste for me anymore. If I wanna get baked i'll grip on to my dab rig. I have noticed that BB loses its flavor in time. l have a BlueDream pheno that taste more like very strong orange juice and tests at 22%. Are lowest of are keepers.
I buy or trade for the super flavor strains with lowwer Canna %'s. If its not over 20 it gets the axe.JK lol

Yep Old Time Blue is a DJ Short gig. Old Time Moonshine and BB. A friend of mine got some free BB with another order. That stuff was major major BB smell and taste. By far the strongest BB terps i ever seen and im getting to be an old head!!lol Wasn't potent at all though. And totally lost its flavor after 2 clone runs. Was really strange you'd swear it wasnt even close to the same strain.

I'd certainly vouch for VG's BlueDigiBerry F2's - great plants to be found in that line.
I donated the pollen for the F1 of that cross...so...naturally I support his efforts to spread those seeds. His Blueberry mother is a special unique sativa lady...definitely not a run of the mill find. Given the generation being sold is F2 - there is plenty of variation in the line to find something unlike everything else out there.
I honestly believe it doesn't matter what blueberry line you get - you need to get 3-5 packs - and you need to cross your fingers. You need to be dedicated to growing those seeds out until you find what you are after.
Any more - people are very content to find a "good" plant in a pack of 10 and it happens all the time - with the blue lines as well. BUT, if you truly want something exceptional - it takes a bit of work and devotion. A bit of love.
I have a few Bx1 seeds of VG's Blueberry mother that will see soil sometime this year...can't wait for that!!!

Very well put dank.frank, I agree there are nice plants to be found in the blue lines but the exceptional ones are just that. Boy do I miss the blue mom I had in the 90's, it ticked all the boxes but that flavor was divine! I used to drink mountain dew after a bowl because the taste would linger and I liked the combo with the dew haha.

I never got vanilla out of the old Blueberry, indica or sativa, interesting it comes out now. All sorts of variation within the line we came across, but never vanilla. I love cannabis, a treasure trove of goodies!
This is the BB plant in post #21 above. Looking a little deferent. Lester B this plant in the beginning stage of bud pic above smelled like vanilla big time. Stem rub had a touch of blueberry smell. Now almost finish the other way around a touch of vanilla. I got two of these that were different phenos. The guy I got them from was just putting in bud. I called to see witch was the keeper #1 or #2 he said #1 was a vanilla pheno and #2 BB. I only had #2 a friend had #1. I thought they had to be #ed wrong. But nope its the BB.

maybe dew to my sativa smoking but blueberry is about the only indica i can smoke now !!
if you want flavour blue cheese is a cross that really excels ! but straight blueberry indica has the most beautiful highs
dj s and dp's are very different lines, you get dj'esk plants in dp blueberry line, but also lots of other variations
true keepers are not easy to find in either line imo

I am super stoked to do some more blue berry experiments. I am most likely going to give VG's BlueDigiBerry a shot if they are still in stock when I am ready to order them. My bb growing experience is limited to bc bud depots version (embarrassing). I would really like to hook up with dj short some how and get a cut of the really real thing. From what I have read about him that may not be impossible.
Me too I see Blue Fire and my cross of Blue Cheese in my not very near future. Got a great one to work with.,

If your stateside & can travel, try seeing if you can hook up at a trade show like Emerald Cup or HTCC.
DJ had clones of Blueberry, F13, & Cocoa Kush if I remember right.
On that note,
I've got seedlings... 6 so far, hoping 2 more will rise up fromcthe soil. Had 10/10 crack & 8 were planted in beer cups. Tossed 2 cause root tips were browning.
Seeds were a gift from a friend that got the originals from Mark Emery Seeds. Think these are a fillial gen but they've been in my vault for 6 years.
