I've seen your post for a minute just been creeping. Stopped by to say I almost did the exact same rabbit hole for the same reasons as yourself. But for my budget at the time and knowing what I'd need to even get close to the blue dream I want would take a long timr but close is fine. And then do I want it forever? I have two nirvana unknown haze#1 x blueberrys fems going just for fun though. Very happy to see this and for you to share. Much appreciated and very cool

.Try some of dynasty blue legend haze. It's a blueberry x super silverhaze. Very similar genetic makeup to bd.

I’ll have a look at it. I have seen Dynasty blue haze mentioned somewhere else before as a good one.
I have some Greenhouse Super Silver Haze seeds to cross with blueberry planned for my next batch.

Really like hazes really like blueberry crosses in general.
was eyeing greenhouses ssh and dj shorts blueberry but it was my understanding that might take awhile to find the right ones.
If I was to go this route I'd like ones more hazey then blue, my wife more so the blue then haze, hard to check all the boxes have to find maybe 2 keepers that hit right.
Suppose one can keep adding to the fine wine cellar and use as needed in the mean time eh..
I would like to know how both goes for you all.
I was going to dive into some of mass medicals sour pupil and some blueberry hash plant x runaway bride and their medipak no real experience with the CBD bred side. Till then I need to get this nirvana kick out of my system not really sure yet.

I’ve never even seen a djshort blueberry seed for sale anywhere. I should look harder I guess. I’d like to try some.
My plan is to make a daytime and evening time version. Blue dream in my mind should be a little peppy, relaxing, euphoric and taste like blueberry. Perfect daytime stuff. Many, maybe most blue dreams don’t taste strong blueberry. It’s like you have to imagine you are catching a nose of it on the exhale.
I think finding a good blueberry will be harder than finding a good haze for this. Maybe a touch of something with some fuel notes that adds some punch to the blueberry taste.

They had some reg seeds listed as dj's f5 blueberry on seedsherenow not long ago. May still be up. Think it was f5 idk. May even had been flo for sale as well. I thought about buying a pack but didnt
Check with Josh blue and bluestar. Doing a lot of work with djgear.

Honest to God If I hadn't bred all my blueberry seeds I'd for sure had bought and grown some of the dj gear off shn before anything else.
I'll probably never purchase another blueberry seed again though.

I now own a few of the #2 and #3 mixes, 1 and 4 weren't as appealing but the collector in me is dying. Blueberry sounded like a real rabbit hole from what I've heard

The strong blueberry flavor does seem to be a very long shot in genetic lottery from all the reviews of plants I've seen, no matter who or where they come from.
Makes me think it has to be a recessive gene otherwise it would really be prevalent in its crosses. Co recessive? Alleles? I'm just running pure Bro Science over here, take everything with a grain of salt. Take what you like leave the rest, I do the same thing so I won't take offense

Maybe it's a co-dominant, but if it was a co-dominant you'd never actually be able to transfer it into another plant unless it carried a copy as well... So that's probably not it

In the genetic industry a good dominant gene is valuable but much easier to obtain making them cheaper over time and less desired. A recessive is much harder to produce . So I think it's recessive. My guess

Week 10 flower.
the Santa Cruz goat farm. I harvested the one on the left today.
Week 10 blueberry x blue dream. I harvested the one on the left today. I’ll take the remaining 2 next week.
week 8 flower DNA genetics blue dream. This started browning up today.
There is a lot of hate about bowl trimmers but they save hours of trim time. The longer you spin it, the better the trim looks but it does knock off trikes. I spin it just enough to knock of the big leaves and call it good. I sift the trim for hash.
Both plants should end up about 5.3ozs dry each.
These are some of the next batch in veg. After taking cuts the last few days I moved several to the flower tent. Ill take the 2 best looking cuts use them to make seeds and pollen.
These A5 haze is twice the size of the others that started at the same time. I’ll cull it and replace it with a cut to tame it down a bit.
