i first tried blue dream a few weeks ago. i was at a party walking down the stairs, i instantly recognized the scent in the room and was sure somebody had stolen some of my Super Silver Haze i had in my coat pocket. the burning smells are identical. the taste was more fruity so i knew it wasn't mine. but the high is much weaker. smoked a fat doobie of the BD, later rolled a pinner of SSH and it took everyone to the next level. from this experience i can only sum up blue dream as watered down, weak SSH and blueberry just isn't a good breeder. SSH can yield pretty well also. the only thing blue dream has going for it over SSH is the flower time but there's a lot to choose from with SSH phenos.

OMG. I am a huge DJ Short fan, and 1 of my patients has been begging me to aquire blue dream. He got some at a reputable dispensary & I smoked some of it, and I was not impressed. I'm supposed to be getting a few s1 blue dream seeds, but now I'm thinking of not getting them.

I thought that DJ Short's son was releassing Azure Haze, which was ssh x dj's blueberry dad, I know it can change depending on which mom & dad used in breeding, but it seems slightly redundant to do this cross again. This is just my opinion.... everything I've had from dj short, spice of life and legends has been pretty rockin', but the blue dream I tried left me very unimpressed.

agreed!!... blue dream cut seems to be chosen for bag appeal yeild and having enough indica qualities to please california market it has decent potency.
Some folks on here complain its weak it takes a bit more hits than kushes yeah sure but it will get ya high.

Its just that it doesnt hold a candle to other blueberry crosses I have tried or haze varieties in the qulaity of high dept. But the nugs of bluedream were far more beautiful and smelled incredible, it may have the besst structure and bag apeal of any strain I have ever seen.

Blue dream makes me feel up and dreamy and like my head is filled with cotton. I hate cotton head personally. If you like cotton head maybe you will like this one. If you like blueberry or haze for the clear headed cereberal soaring qualities then perhaps blue dream isnt for you.

Ummmm,... I am gonna have to sort of " disagree " with you guys on this one...

I love Blue Dream.
If you dial her in I think she has as complex of a flavor and taste as anything out there and no ceiling of a high...
I'm still working on getting there with mine, only run one every once in a while-too many strains but won't ditch her.... even if you fuck up that plant still produces fire just will finish fast and not yield as will.

dad's been running it for 2 years and its his queen of the castle- spicy to sugar to citrus to berry to grape- huge " bud structure" ...

As far as flavor it's hard to believe it share's lineage with the shire... ( sssdh ).... but not with the high.

there is a few cuts of blue dream floating around. anything grown poorly is going to be poor. anything pulled early before maturation is going to be weak. my bd is 9 weeks.

anyone saying she has no potency needs to put the bong down and take a break, damn. everyones loving the OD organic BD. bubba/og heads telling me the bd killer. idk. i think she is a connoisseur commercial strain. best of both worlds.

I dont think I have tried all the diff cuts of blue dream but every time I pick it up its the same only quality differs. It is only picked up if the quality is good though. It has a high ceiling so you can get really high off it but it takes more than green crack or an og, i dont think its weak. Most samples I tried looked like the best weed i have ever seen. But IMO the quality of the high was not to my liking. Different strokes for different folks. IMO it is not clear headed which I have found in other haze varieties and blueberry. The cut I tried smells like pez candy. The high i would describe as a high more than a stone that is mostly in the head making the head feel full of cotton which also makes things feel dreamy and spacey it doesnt cause paranioa or anxiety. I feel its a bit counter productive to thinking in general. So its spacey but not introspective and causing a train of thoughts going off on tangents its more like lack of thinking kind of spacey. Its not for me... It has its merits.

What I like about the haze iv tried and the blueberry is the clear soaring enhanced sensation, and I feel if thats what your looking for blue dream isn't that. at least every sample I have tried.

^ i can respect that. from a growers stand point she's AAA, but her high is hit and miss with the patients. patients either love it, or don't care for it. some say she's too strong, but then again i respect a person who enjoys the complexity and character of different highs rather than raw potency, because i am one of those people. pulled early she can be clear headed, bd is one of my friends favorite varieties, he calls it work weed. every one has different experiences though.

outdoors she's a dream though. vigorous, huge, mold/pest resistant, high yielding, and flowers look like indoor.

thing is....ive run great...and i fucked it up trying to get greedy and "over developed" her ....stone quickly goes from soaring clear (when i catch myself whistle'n a song and have finished 3.5 - 4hrs of work) to dull & cloudy deep and sleepy in a matter of days...(glandular speaking). Cannabean took pics of APES cut vs. our cut....and they are structurally & ....glandualarly <----lol different.

I generally run my cut to about 48days....minimal to no ambers, just occluded and couple clearies

Hello, everyone. I am a NooB to this site. One of the first few post I saw. Where talking about what Haze is in B.D. But it is confusing to me. I have heard it's s.s.h. But the lineage that i have read say's it's Dj.Short's B.B. x J.H. Can anyone clear this up? Thanks.

I thought my blue dream cut was the main one in cali then later realized it wasnt when I got some more cuts from a couple different clubs.... and man do I miss the cut I had. was a little more blueberry'ish and yielder better than the ones floatin around these days, and the high was way better. taste more blueberryish too but still had that ssh kick and a lil bit of its taste... I gave it to a couple folks, one may still have it but its a pain to contact this dude, let alone get a cut back from um.... oh well.

^close but no cigar. s1's are cool and all, but not quite the same. The blue dream cut I had was such a big yielder. Outdoors it produced almost a metallic look to it. The high was up and heavy and the exhale smoke is what I enjoy the most. I no longer have that cut and I wont grow it again due to a whole bunch of weaker cuts going around. Overall I like good Blue Dream though. Some of the better commercial weed out there.
