Blue Dream Alternative

I am looking for an alternative to Blue Dream and looking for suggestions.

Requirements
- must have sativa leaning grow characteristics, does well with ~2-3 weeks veg time and nearly doubles height during flower
- the high must be heavily sativa
- flower time no more than 9 weeks

So far my research has led me to the original Skunk #1 or Mr Nice's Shit. Anyone have experience with these two strains or have any other suggestions?

To reiterate, I am looking for a hardy, heavy sativa leaning strain that finishes in 9 weeks or less that is not prone to hermies and is forgiving. Blue Dream has become my go to strain but am looking for variety.

How about C99 from Female seeds. It blooms in ~60 days, strech about 90%, yields very well. High is strong sativa with brain storms. Stone solid strain that doesnt freak.

Another good one should be Critical Jack from Dinafem. It blooms in ~60 days, strech about 150%. Strong sativa high. Very good producer.

If you go with C99 you might as well go with the original creators and get the beans from Brothers Grimm. But C99 would be a good alternative.

I am currently growing two Skunk#1. I am about 3 weeks into flower, and the smell so far is sweet and sour. I would say go for them and check them out

I would look for a haze/indica hybrid since blue dream is haze x blueberry. Strawberry Cough or Haze Heaven are good ones. Or maybe Lemon Haze.

Blue Magoo is one developed here in PDX that is good. It is a cross between DJ Short Blueberry and Major League Bud. I has more of a sativa high to it IMO, though I have a very high tolerance for weed.

I also like White Widow for a high that does not have a big rush to it (like Cinex does) or stony down to it. I prefer White Widow during the day. White Widow flowers earlier and finishes faster than Blue Dream does for me.

I also grow and smoke a lot of Blue Dream. Blue Dream is good for sex, and the GF and I like it for that .

critical jack from dinafem is a winner. Funny how i was just thinking about that strain in the past few days... was thinking for the money id buy a pack amd know id be enjoying the smoke..

Bean Ho just dropped a bunch of blueberry crosses over @ HD. I'm thinking about his Durban X BB myself. And at $39 a pack it's not that big a gamble. IMO. By a couple packs and start the hunt.

I popped Mr Nice Shit recently but had a lot of issues during the grow (not strain related, on my end).
Only popped 5 and only 2 made it to flower.
Unfortunately both male but one of them had a distinct fruity odor when rubbing the stem. Overall good plants and they finish fast (49 days according to strain description).

Have a bunch more of those seeds and might come back to them at a point. Saw nothing discouraging during the grow. The 49 days are really tempting as well.

Not sure if it would be as potent as Blue Dream though. Never had Blue Dream myself but I would assume it falls into the mold of Black/White Widow and the likes.

Skunk seems to be a bit less of a yielder and a bit less of a knock-outer/potent strain. At least from what I could gather.

C99 might be closer to the right bet for what you want (if it isn't blue dream).

I got my C99 from Mike at PeakseedsBC. He also has a C99xBlueberry cross which he doesn't advertise. Maybe ask him about that.
Afaik it is still untested but it could be close to the Blue Dream with similar properties.

Blue Dream grows and blooms inside and out just like a classic sativa for me, after starting out as a teen looking like more of an indica. The buds are classic sativa looking. It is an odd one for sure, with so may strain crosses. To me it also has more of a sativa high than indica. I am highly tolerant of weed though. The yield is OK, but I would not call it mega. I have been growing it for several years now, and I am growing it now indoors under lights. My original BD clone came from the Santa Cruz area from a local PDX medical outlet.

Best alternative to Blie Dream? Thats easy....White Nightmare from Sin City Seeds. The right phenotype selection from a pack or two....you will find what you are looking for. To me BD has a ceiling on the high. Iam talking the Santa Cruz cut. With WNM its got a better taste and smell with no ceiling dependjng on tolerance and the yield is even better. Try it. Grab a pack or two.

The Santa Cruz cut of Blue Dream certainly looks like a very sativa plant to me.
