In a few days Im going to be blooming my first grow. Thus far, I have been using GH nutes, the hydro ones. As this is my first grow, I have made alot of mistakes. For example, I didn't know that the grow part of the GH nutes is not used by cannabis. Now I know, after hearing all these people say they use the lucas formula. I finally read up on the lucas formula, and thats when I read that you dont' need the green grow part of the GH nutes for cannabis...

anyway, back to the topic at hand...

I will be purchasing some ferts very shortly, and I want your opinions. What is best, what do you use, ect ect ect.

Also, any bloom additives, such as floricious (sp) that you use, feel free to shed light on those.

BTW, please keep it organic. I already have some GH nutes, as I said, so I want to compare the organic to the synthetic eventually. Also, please LMK what you use for veg and bloom.

Peace

Well I didn't vote in the poll but... I use Guano Tea. Veg - I use an 8-4-1 bat guano supplemented by FoxFarmOrganics grow big rated at 3-2-6 (I think this has been replaced in their line). Bloom-I use a 3-10-1 bat guano supplemented by the same until the last 3 weeks then it's just the guano for a week - ten days and a good flush for the last week or so. For both cycles I use Thrive Alive Organic B-1(green label) in damn near every drop of water at 5ml per gallon until the last 2 weeks. I vary the strength of the tea raising the concentration peaking at mid cycle and for the change over I use a weak version with both types of guano. My medium is 40%CoCo Pith , 20%Worm Castings and 40%Perlite.

thanks herbweedman

Personally I use Plagron Alga-Bloom, 100% bio and does wonders, made with seaweed extracts and lots of other neat stuff. They have an entire line of specific products for marijuana cultivation, all entirely organic and all of them excellent products.

thanks to everyone

thanks to everyone

I made the trip to the hydro shop today, and was somewhat disapointed with the selection. :( I ended up leaving with some Pure Blend.
Anything I should supplement along with the pure blend for my bloom cycle?

Bogs method.

Bogs method.

I use bogs method.pure blend bloom, earth juice bloom and fox farm big bloom.Use pure blend first 3 -4 weeks then use fox farm once then finnish with the earth juice.A little superthrive in the beginning too.But you can use that during veg so thats not just bloom. I also use Nitron enzyme formula A-35 soil catalyst during the first 5 weeks of bloom, its not really for bloom but it helps release nutrients from the soil and the ones you add you're self. I never used Organics before this grow, used to use Advanced nutes.

Original Pure Blend was developed to be used in conjunction with other nutrients...

Original Pure Blend was developed to be used in conjunction with other nutrients...

PURE BLEND ™ is best used as a supplement to standard fertilizer or hydroponic nutrient formulations.

It was actually designed to be used with General Hydroponics three part nutrient system, which was, at the time, and very likely still is, the number one selling hydroponic nutrient in the world (?).

Many a fine bud has been grown using that combination of nutrients, very fine ones can be had, of that I am quite sure.;) Keep the faith, you've got excellent products to work with.

I wouldn't worry too much about really amping them up with "the super Duper kick it in the ass, take 'em to the edge of burning with just one teaspoonful kinda shit" :D

My advice to you is,imho, is to take it easy with the Nutes, at least untill you've experienced the sweet smell of success from a successful grow or two....then jack dem puppies :D I've found that every grow, if ones paying attention, you always learn/notice something new.Good luck with the grow, your well on your way now.

I have to get to my jugs to remember the recipe, maybe someone else can chime in with a suggested dosage/recipe recommendation.

If they got Liquid Karma down at that store, a bit of that into your nutrient/ VooDoo Juice may (safely) impress you even further.

good stuff as usual IMboggled.

What a nice coincidence that I decided to go with the pure blend, and it is used as a supplement to the GH nutes. Gotta love it when stuff like that happens.

I agree with you 100%. My main priority on this grow is just to get some bud that I can smoke. Im not looking to push the envelope or anything. Just trying to get some nuggage, and some experience along the way. Taking the nutes to the brink will be a thing of the future for me. I have some good genetics starting right now, which I plan to keep in my garden for a long time. As I start to learn what the strain likes, and what it can take, I will start to push the nute to the limits. Until then, I just want my plants to be happy and grow me some nice bud.

thanks again
