I have a feeling Joe Manchin will get in the Democrats way on many issues. It would be like blaming Trump when really not everyone in your party is on the same page. With a solid majority I would agree with you.

I’m fascinated by how they pulled the ‘Red scare’ switch and suddenly everybody is blowing Cold War...man, I wish I had a buck for every time I’ve heard “radical socialist Rafael Warnock”....
Even more fascinating that the extremely radical “conservative”republicans and ‘libertarians’ are reduced to insults that are DECADES past their sell-by date, just as if their blatant fear-mongering hadn’t backfired on them 50 years ago...serene in the knowledge that their current crop of stooges wasn’t around then....
GOP has been governing as a minority party for decades, even when the congress was in the hands of the Dems. They have done nothing in good faith while in office since Watergate.
I sympathize, but Trump isn’t the sole reason: GOP has been working by any means available to engineer a permanent Republican majority in US government for a full 40 years; and the Dems allowed them to hide behind their plausible deniability, as if they were in fact good faith players with the national interest at heart. It’s only been in the era of Trump, as a direct result of Trump, that they’ve been forced to acknowledged that GOP has been playing them for fools: as Mo’ Funk observed, this is war. The GOP has been at war with the federal government and with ‘Democrats’ (loosely speaking) since Reagan, and Dems have been acting like it’s all just habit, or a misunderstanding, or....
It’s time to take the war to the GOP.

They don’t care, and didn’t care: things were getting rocky, coming apart, pretending to play nice had got them almost within reach of literally stealing the nation from its citizens; they are in the middle of a last, desperate grab at the prize...and they’re *THIS CLOSE*.
The members of Congress who will object to the acceptance of elector tallies almost certainly do not believe their own cover story - they were all complicit in manufacturing and spreading the Big Lie of an election stolen from Trump. These people aren’t interested in “saving America”, they’re interested in stealing the election FOR him. So much so that senators not yet sworn in will be allowed to vote on the matter of objections. Kelly Loeffler, whose term of office has expired and who just lost her bid for election, will be allowed to weigh in...on whether or not the election - now triply certified - she just lost was fair.
Fair would be exclusion of no-longer-senators like Loeffler, the exclusion of not-yet-seated senators-elect. Times of transition are ripe for mischief, and we know GOP is ready to do anything except risk their own skins - and we’ve seen ample proof that allows a lot of slimy bullshit.
And it is TREASON on the line: this is war, remember?
