Blackout (Better) Bud Butter

Hmmm just got finished making my first batch and damn does it look good.
Using 1 oz fresh (but dry) chopped Lifesaver trim and 3.5g of Lifesaver bud this shit is so dark I want to pass out.

Let it sit in the crockpot for 4 hours stirring every 15 minutes then strained through a 72micron filter bag.

Instead of regular butter I bought some Irish import butter, has a higher fat content allows more THC transfer.

Look at all that plant conmpress to a little ball. :yoinks:



Butter looks so dark, I will update after a test run.

sweet, you know i was wondering about the crockpot. I was just worried that it would get too hot ? About how much butter did you use and how much fat content does it have? Ive never used a crockpot before, also on the lowest setting does your mix just simmer or does it get to a boil?

I use a crockpot, it has simmer , low, and high heat.

I use the simmer and it works great.

Down here in the south we would call that "Cajun blackened butter". The only problem i found in using a crock is the low temp for a long time tends to leach too much chlorophyll out and make it............with a hell of a bite.

yea..no doubt chief..

i found normandy france butter has the highest fat content as well as the best flavour for baked goods..

black though...man ive cooked the living hell and never BLACK like that...must be the start product i assume...

yea more the cook the more chloro and ass taste...i find the psycho actives congregate in the butter plug in the same place as the funk that taste like crap...on the bottom of the butter sheet...its grainy shit...can be removed but ive found it removes potency...so ass taste but will feck you up...

nothing will fuck you off cannabis like foods will..OD is possible...feel sick..now im hot hoes all know me....:lucifer::seanpenn:

Just got back from vacation and wanted to post the results.

I ate one brownie (3-4 tablespoons of butter in the batch) on an empty stomach and went to see a show. Without exageration it was one of the best highs I've ever had. Creeping on after about 45 minutes then staying strong for about 3-4 hours. It was so intense my girlfriend had to sit down a couple of times right there at the show.
We have since made another batch which I ate on a full stomach and the high was not intense but did last for a really long time till I passed out.
My advice if you make food make only enough for that day because it is a much better stone when fresh. Also if you try to reheat brownies (microwave) I think it degrades the potency, this is just my observation though.

A little more info about the butter:
I started with 4 sticks of butter and finished with just over 2. My crockpot has low, medium and high settings I just left it on low the whole time. As the butter in the previous pic cooled in the fridge it turned a beautiful light green. The best part? I have enough for 8-12 more batches of brownies or whatever. I have made double boiled butter quite a few times and in my experience makes a very harsh (chlorophyl,sp?) tasting brownie. These brownies have a hint of pot flavor and thats it, very enjoyable.

I got the reciepe and directions from a great medical marijuana site - AAMC. Check them out for some damn good bud-foods and great directions. :woohoo:

how long did you simmer it in the crock pot? that's a good idea. you just put your bud and the butter in there and that's it?

the boiled water works great. Take 2 cups of water bring to boil throw in 2 sticks of imported butter and let melt lower hit to simmer and through in 1 oz of vapor remains. Stir every once in a while and let simmer for 4 hours.
Pour through cheese cloth and drain butter out of remains.

Makes killer butter and you dont lose much of the butter in end.
Also no chloryphy taste....
