Don't feel bad Blackfoot I'm going through the same problem right now with my Purple Kush cuts I got, only 4 of the 8 I used are going to be worthy cuz the others were flowered way to short for them and it was 3 - 4" and fully rooted so I have the others in my veg cab and they have branches too! so I'm going to keep one for a mom clip the branches for clones like you are and flower these baby's cuz they are about 6" now and healthy as can be
Also do you think your stretch problem could be the cups??? I think the 20oz bottles have a part in the stretch cuz of their size being deeper than they are wide I mean the cups are too but I just feel the roots get to travel down further in the bottle in return giving more height, shit I could be wrong but who knows I have 2 PK's in flower right now in red cups like yours and I vegged it long enough IMO for it to hit the sweet spot I hope and I'll let you know cuz I was thinking of just using the cups but I find that I can fit more bottles in a space than the cups anyway I'm rambling on in the morning time for a bowl of my buddy's Trainwreck Haze

Just stopped by to check out the pics which, are awesome by the way.
As far as reducing stretching goes:
You may consider replacing some of your CFLs with Daylight CFLs. I have read that the blue end of the spectrum helps reduce stretching. Also, you might want to try putting something underneath the cup to put it up closer to the light source. The further a light source is away, the more stretch you're probably going to see. Just a couple of suggestions to try.
That being said: I actually had a couple of questions for you because I think I may eventually head down the SoG road that you are on.
1) What is the medium you are using?
2) What kinda nutes are you feeding? I know that you started with the urine thing thanks to Dr. BG but I was wondering what other kinds of things you feed in veg or flower?
3) What is your cloning method? How big are your clones when you take them and do you just put them straight into the cup so you don't have to transport them? I saw that you are using the peat pucks for the seedlings but I was wondering what you're doing for clones.

Lookin good Blackfoot! Seems like you're finding that sweet spot eh? I think I got mine figured out for my GDP/Urkle which ever it is I'm pretty sure its Urkle cuz GDP is a 8 week strain and this bitch can go 10 from the way it looks so we'll see in another 2 weeks buddy and I'm excited!! I'm even more stoked about my Maui Waui x Tutty Fruity cuz it's some of the best smelling and looking bud I've seen! The resin production on this gal is just crazy! I know I got some damn good hash coming once I have a good little SOG of this one...

im going to design my new cab so that it has 4 rooms but im gunna make the floor on the flower side removeable so i can have 2 or 1 flower space and im thinkin about doin the pc fans with each chamber having a intake and exit into the misc. room were the exit fan/filter will be but now i needa find a place to get the pc fans all i have are tiny weak 35mm and loud vibrating 80mm know any good cheap websites or pc fans i should look for im gunna ask over in the designs and equipment forum also but i do respect and honor your input
im smokin my first clips there good but really young they need like 2-3 more weeks but idk if there gunna get it befor i move im all outa smoke and for sum odd reson the plant lookd like itd been dyin' to thats y i clipd it down 10 hours after the lights whent off "dark harvest" or "night harvest" as some say they have been gettin plain water for the last 1.5 weeks iv been takin pics here and there after the move ill do a major update on the thread and put all the pics up

That was my experience summed up....too much calcium. We have plenty in the water for the plants and to counteract the low PH of peat. I'd half the lime to 1 tbls. per gal or leave it out completely. If you have good compost and healthy soil in balance the PH will usually self regulate. But too much acidic or basic materials will throw the PH off and keep it there. Go ask a commercial nursery if they lime there potting mixes.
Here's what i do to get bugs out of compost. I mix up my soil mixes and store them in a large trashcan with holes punched in it. I let it sit a month and by then all the critters have left and your left with awesome soil. I don't recommend doing this inside.
