Blackberry Kush: Analysis by Steep Hill Lab

Here is an interesting perspective on the history of the Blackberry Kush. Sorry, links didn't copy correctly but I pasted the info.

"Master breeder, Nebu derivative from NorCal bagseeds but still unknown genetics tho I told my friends that if you crossed flo with a pre-98 bubba you would get this. Oregon purple thai in it imho. Frosty and staunch with deep flavors. A fine example of the Blackberry phonotype. Earthy undertones with a dark berry burst highlight this magnificent strain that is at times rather crappy at many coops. Hard to grow and somewhat unstable Im told. But if you cant find dakind then youre in biznatch. Very effective pain relief as well as some euphoria that creeps into "stoned" bakeyness aswell. A sweet change of pace curveball to mix up that og routine many of us socallers fall into. but what an og hole to fall for. gem found at hr."

OR this guy:

"What are the genetics behind bbk? I have heard its just a straight up Blackbbery x OG but I have also heard Blackberry x Bubba x White Rhino and Blackberry x White Rhino x OG so I just wanted to know what the official genetics are."

http://forum.grasscity.com/indoor-gr...erry-kush.html

OR maybe this guy is right:

"Lineage: Afghani Mother x DJ Shorts Blue Berry
Pheno type: Chronic
Family: 80% Indica 20% Sativa"

Lab Results are IN

The lab says

"blackberry kush flower %15.44 THC %0.23CBD %0.05CBN

blackberry kush full melt%52.64THC %01.27CBD %0.33CBN"

STEEP HILL LAB:
"Your results say alot. Bbkush does not ever test over 16 far as i know. So ur at the top of the pile as far samples we have seen. And ur melt tested super high too. 52 is f'ing strong hash. Thats stronger than some oil."

YES! Grown in BioTerra Plus, using BioCanna nutes, AACT teas, other inoculants, and select plant-based/rock-based organic nutrition. I describe my indoor vegan-organic soil-less (peat/coco/bark) system on RIU and mattrize.blogspot

This batch of flowers is extremely smooth to smoke. Non-smokers are not irritated by the second-hand smoke from my herb, whereas they are by synthetic fed or overfed bottled organics (tested this idea in many trim circles). It tastes so amazingly kushy, sweet and stanky. Like a mouth full of blackberry flowers.

The vegan-organic Blackberry Kush bubble is my best ever in terms of melt and taste. Hands down, and I am... ahem... a hashmaster. I used 45 to 160 microns and it is 52.64% THC, for anyone who thinks 45-120 is the only way. Great indicas have huge trichome heads and up to 160 is normal for advanced gardens. I love the "stronger than some oils" part, suggesting 'tane can be stronger but are not by default, especially in the dispensary market. The best of everything is never sold. If you can grow bomb flowers, you can make bubble that is over 50% THC, and that is strong medicine :)

PEACE

I don't believe blackberry kush to be what you think it is. I can't find where I researched, when I got it 3 years ago (before most), but it said it was (blackberry x Bubba) x (og kush). Honestly it looks like all of that too.

I'm about to chop down 8 of em. How many weeks you take yours?

Also, you deal with peace and medicine?

I never said what I believe this particular cutting to be, in term of genetics. That is why I posted multiple descriptions. But thank you for your insight. I have been told this Blackberry Kush is the same as a Blackberry Bubba that can be found in Vegas.

I do mess with peace, but not this round. If you are a regular there you have seen my bubble for sure, and flowers once and a while.

8 weeks is what I found to be right for me, but I am using lots of BioBoost, a metabolism enhancer, which speeds up the cycle.

I don't see how it could possibly be Blackberry bubba and white rhino with the way it grows and stretches.

Ya, 8 weeks seems about right here. I use a mixed of synthetic and organic nutrients. I've been an OMRI nazi in the past and either way works for me. I find no difference in the quality when it it has been properly flushed and cured.

maybe the white rhino was a sativa leaning pheno or the blackberry dominates in growth?

It makes so much more sense for it to be OG kush and bubba kush with the way it grows. Stretches like OG kush, buds like bubba. Honestly I hate its structure, its not ideal IMHO; very potent and effective drug/medicine.

Yes... that is possible though.

FWIW, My experience with a "blackberry kush" was one referred to as Blackberry Bubba. It's genetics were Blackberry x White Russian x Bubba Kush. The clone that I had was very interesting in that it crowned out almost always with what I called a three headed top, rather than a pine cone shaped top, it had the distinct look of a triangular (looking down from above) three-tined fork. It stayed short and had very symmetrical branching. Each branch had a good nug at the top with mostly popcorn underneath. It was a decent yielder but nothing to write home about. Where it did excel was in potency and flavor. It is definitely one of my all-time favorites, probably number one, now that I think about it.

Shit, it may throw purple into stuff but the Black Russian males ARE GREAT for passing just the purple with hardly anything else.

Check out Southern Charm, shit is KILLER and it favors Erliquin's Jack Flash Aussie Super Skunk cross to a tee...just purple

No where near as dominant as say using a bubba female.
