and tried to crawl away from Luke's slime

I don't like those things either. Living in Oregon, a fella has to get used to them. I have a colony in every outbuilding on my property...sometimes I smash 2 dozen in a single day. I know all of Gods creatures have a purpose on Earth. I have come to the conclusion that the black widows purpose is for man to smash on site.

Widows are shy, retiring spiders and bite only reluctantly, usually only when molested

I have 100's living around my house. They are docile when disturbed... usually rolling over and playing dead. I do, however, watch where I put my hands under lumber and other hiding places.

They say a black widow bite produces some of the worst pain imaginable. At least as far as insects go. The bite itself is rather miniscule, most people said they did not really even know they were bit. Feels like an odd tickle. Then comes the horrible, horrible pain. I was bit by a male along time ago, and that was nothing at all. It was just like a mosquito or something, and they aint gonna kill ya. No side effects, just an itchy bite really.

Honestly everytime I have thought about it today I have had to work hard at not getting kind of panicky. To me it's one of those things that if you sat and let it freak you out that there are probably more of them and they could crawl on me at anytime....and get in my hair....and bite my neck or face....

Then youre really not going to want to hear the stories of them laying eggs in your cheek. True story I knew someone who worked as a nurse and this woman complained of swelling in her cheek. Turns out there was a spiders nest in there. Now if that doesnt creep you out then nothing will.
