Damn BigToke. You really know your bio buckets.
Ive only just started learning about this type of set up thanks to you.
If you didnt mention it the other day i doubt i would have even known about it.

Its going to take a long while before i try it, but you can bet your ass its another style of growing that im very interested in. I just wanted to say thanks for shedding some light on it and giving me yet some more grow styles to study for the future. Your grow rocks man.

Farmer John – thanks for stopping by and the prop’s. I grew indoor for two years and never had plants that looked this good, the Bio-System does produce some of the healthiest looking plants that I’ve every seen for some one that doesn’t have to do squat to grow them, it all most maintenance free!!

Leeroy&Co – I say to you my man, that the Bio-Buckets was the first hydro system that I every grew in and I loved it, and was very successful right from the beginning manly because of the style of grow was so easy. There should be a book that’s called “Hydroponics For Dummies” when you opened the book you would see a picture of the Bio-Buckets it’s that simple!!

Ps…….Oh wait, I thank I’m weighting that book right now.

Kingslayer – thanks for the comment, I look forward to the day when the space becomes available to yea, until then grow on brother!!

BigToke every time I look at your grow I am more and more amazed. It really is a work of art. I am gonna be sorry to see it go :( I hope one of your friends or someone you know can put the system to use :) You dont live in Fla. do you? I am just sad to see it go :)
Anyway I am sorry if you mentioned this already but have you decided on what type of system you are going to run next? Thanks BT and good luck w/ the harvest. And I am available for taste testing :) :)

Big Toke, you might be interested in knowing that I linked a friend of mine, who also happens to be one of the foremost national cannabis cultivation gurus over on my side of the pond, to your Bio-Buckets thread a month ago or so....he was so impressed he converted from DWC to your bio-buckets method as soon as he got a look at your thread . He, like me, is a weed connoiseur and though hydro has many plusses, he was sorely missing the aroma, the taste, the experience of smoking organically grown weed which he was doing without because of time/space issues. With your method he found the perfect compromise...so dude....you the shiznit for real! :D

Say Blue good to see ya, well on my side of the pond people look at the Bio-Buckets as some kind of phenomenon or something, they see it but they can’t believe it, or don’t understand it but there’s one thing they all love when it come to growing in hydro in the Bio-Buckets and that’s the trouble free maintenance and the money they save by going with this system.

I was basically told by the top gurus of several sits that this was an impossibility, but once I got the concepts down of the Bio-System there was no stopping me, besides that I was top of my class when it came to biology so I new I was not far building my dream system.

I feel honored that you would share this style of growing with your friends, you tell that “weed/bud connoisseur” that if I can be of any assistance that I here to help. You say he misses the aroma and taste of the soil grown mj, you tell him/her that they will love the taste of there buds that are grown in the Bio-Buckets System, the peeps that get some of my buds can tell no different.

Blue the funny thing is, on the label of all Hydroponics Solutions they recommend that you flush your system every two to three weeks and this is a true saying if your not willing to make the necessary changes to make nutrient solution work for you, from my point of view in two to three my nutrient solution is just getting right. Well anyways thanks for stopping by you all ways have a way of brightening up a place.

Bonzo ya they are cute ant they. Let me know how yours come out.

Milonix420 – good to see yea let’s get down to it, it’s bean a ruff day for me and to be honest I’m a little spaced out right now but let me see if I understand what your saying you have a 2 or 3 foot wide closet? And that’s 6 feet long and 7 feet high? Is this right?

BigTokes -- Bio-Buckets!!

BigTokes -- Bio-Buckets!!

Milonix420 – man that is small!! But let’s see if we can make this work, the way you wont because it has to fit your needs not mine.

If it were me I would put 3 Bio-Buckets in there with a remote reservoir “out side the closet” you would need:
  1. A Pump – one that could pump 40 gallons an hour!!
  2. No less than a 5” net-pot – (recommended 8”)
  3. And a 5 gallon Reservoir.
other materials for this setup can be found over the internet.

Ps…….it this is not a doable plan let me know and I’ll try to think of something different.

Well, I don't know about other gurus, but this guru also did some indepth biology studies (med school) and he did not hesitate for a minute when he saw your thread. I shot him the link when he sent me a pm saying he was shopping around for some of these new generation organic hydro ferts. Told him not to move a finger or spend an euro until he read your thread from beginning to end. I received a pm two weeks later in which he said he was in the process of modifying his setup to go bio buckets :D and thanking me for the link. I'm sure he continues to read you, he is not a poster though he's registered on these boards, and I have no doubt that if any of his questions remain unanswered in your fantastic thread, he'll ask.

I'm a soil grower, have been tempted by hydro because of the challenge in working with a new medium, but do not like chemicals, and I have yet to taste hydro grown weed which can compare to my own almost obscenely organic smoke ....having said this, if I ever do give hydro a whirl, it'll be the bio buckets for sure! I find the method fascinating, if not tempting...but first off I want to master soil, and unfortuantely I don't have much space...another issue I took into consideration when thinking about trying my hand at a DWC type grow

Anyway, on behalf of the entire community I wanted to thank you for the excellent, fascinating and extremely comprehensive information you have made available to us.... :friends:

Bio-Bucket Photography—Week five Flowering!!

Thanks for stopping by rule, I hope that every thing works out for ya next summer with the bio-system.

This is week five of flowering, and I still have five more weeks to go!! This is going to be highly interesting to say the least, I’m already having problems with the buds being so fat that there braking the limbs on most of the plants, before it’s over imagine that they’ll look like puppets with all the string and wirers.
