...it wasn't me.

I don't think either anyone would collapse from TF's Sage2O... its so clear up high... a bit trippy, maybe... but it won't knock you out... perhaps that Afghani fingerhash that was passed to me in the Katsu... that one was so strong I had to refuse some hits afterwards... a different kind of strong, more stoned...

The BUSHDOCTOR
:woohoo:
a view of the front should any of you seek next time while in amsterdam.

here is a picture of the ROOR we rented.

another bubble hit

nice open window to watch the world go by, and to take secret pics of cops lol

the BUSHDOCTOR has an interesting way of keeping their wares. they have 3 big key chains 1 for indica 1 for sativa's and 1 for bubble.
A quick look at the menu revealed they had some love potion. the smell was wonderfully citusy and the buds chuncky, lol I think most of us picked up some.

and soon there were several love potion joints going around, the little sista was filled with water the bowl was filled with ash...

my love potion is bigger than yours......
:joint:
a couple of us also picked up some kali-mist bubble.

the BUSHDOCTER is one of the 1st coffeeshops to have a water hash menu.
they also have some of the best priced bubble.

this kali-mist bubble was 25€ a gram and very nice to smoke.

i had picked up some sage n sour bubble and some kushsage bubble .5 a gram of each. while both were nice to smoke, they just don't dance like my sage2o

Yes, your sage2o is world class bubble!... next to the strain and your expertise, maybe iced-hash from coffeeshops isn't the purest... the 1st run of 73mu... I'm quick to doubt bubble on coffeeshops menu... will it contain the 73mu, all sizes or all sizes but without the 73mu?... I know I'd rather keep that 73mu and I have little use for the other grades... but after you worked that Kusage bubble, by handpressing, it looked quite similar to mine... its hard to unravel the mysteries behind coffeeshop hash...

Have you tried the new Sage2o at Katsu's? Is it like the one inspired you? Is it any close to your own fresh Sage bubble? If yes, I'll get some of that...

coffeeshop bubble

coffeeshop bubble

Sadly i didn't try any of the Katsu's sage2o this time, I hadn't even looked. oops!

I think much of the water hash made in Amsterdam is still made using the ice-o-later bags. Also the grass it comes from isn't trimmed as well as I do my own buds and most likely more commercially grown than my own organic grown.

The one ice-o-later bag yields more than the 73µ bubble bag, because all the trichomes end up in one bag as opposed to seperated in several bags, which commercial growers prefer cause its less work and they get more and yet the quality is still far above what your average consumer is used to.

imo the next reason is, the very best i'm sure doesn't make it to the menu but rather to the owners, staff and there best friends etc. get some.
If I had enough to sell to a coffeeshop I'm sure my 73µ would never see the menu.

Also having seen a few people keel over after smoking well made 73µ maybe it shouldn't be on the menu for the general public.

So you used fine trimmed buds?... I've never tried other than the trim itself... maybe there is the first big quality difference...

Good point about the one-size bags... I see how these fit commercial growers best... and its perfect for customers that don't know better... and also true, the best but rare qualities often don't reach the menu... and there are only some 5 or 10 outstanding coffeeshops in Amsterdam worth checking the menu

Well, when I run out of my own... I will try that Sage2o of Katsu... or step by BushDoctor... never had such fun with cops...

i think you missunderstood. tf doesn't use buds either for the bubble. but he trimms the buds much better then the coffee shops do. hence more of the really sugary trim ends up being made into bubble then if you do a rough trim.

No I don't use buds. I meant I trim my buds very closely removing all leaves.
Leaves are for hash making not for rolling in joints etc. imho.
many of the coffeeshop buds have some leaf still on the bud. The leaves closest to the buds are the most trichome laden, hence the best for bubblemaking.

Although many think I only smoke bubble, I also love buds, and would rather smoke them. The quality of bubble I get from my trim is well good enough for me, I find no need to bubble my buds.

Here is an example; love potion bud from the bushdoctor
look at all the green leaves still on the bud. many of the leaves are cut in half, on my buds you wont find many half cut leaves, i tend to fish them out with my fiskars.
the best bubble comes from the best material, cleaner the material =cleaner the hash.

Thanks TF, for the clarification!... I guess I manicure and save my trim as precise as you do... then the biggest quality difference could be in you technique... I know I have been icing to long... the first runs took me over 2 hours... my latest run, with strawberry cough, was my best so far... I got the trim out the water in about 1 hour... but I heard half an hour should be plenty... and I understand, the shorter the trim is in the water the less nasties will extract... resulting in more pure bubble... also I noticed leaving the electric mixer out and stirring only with a spoon has helped me improve quality... to ensure the whole process goes fast and gentle, the bubblelator miniwasher could be a good investment for me... other tips that have helped me include not squeezing wet bubble and leave it drying on cardboard for a week the way it comes out of the sieve before pressing it... maybe I don't need to press it at all next time?

Thanks again for you guidance!

skatepark session

skatepark session

No worries...
 but back to the bike tours, well sort of.

Early one morning on my way to the wake'n'bake, Ii found a little skatepark. :chin: I am fairly certain it wasn't there last year. Even better there was an abandoned skateboard in the bowl. :woohoo:

:badday: Sadly also a fair amount of broken beer bottles.

But there were parts that were clear enough to give it a go. after a few runs, a group of young backpackers wandered by all of which were wearing skateshoes, but appearantly none skated, they only snowboarded.
:fsu:
oh well! I passed one of them my camera and he took a few shots for me.
50/50 around the bend.

jahminded stunts

jahminded stunts

Well the wake'n'bake wasn't going to wait for me and i had better be there if i was to lead the bike tour anywhere. So I put the board back in the bowl, got on my bike and rode off to seed boutique. where i showed a couple people the skatepark pics, one of whom was Jahminded. Him and his friend were very eager to check it out.
We had 30 minutes before I needed to be back for the bike tour. so off we pedalled up the singel to haarlemerwegstrat and headed to the end of that long street way past barneys ,not far past the end of that street, and we were back at the park, only to find that the skateboard was no longer there.

Well as you can see that didn't deter jahminded.

Thanks again for showing me that bowl.....and I'm not only talking about the trichome filled one....

That was truely one of the "highs" of my trip to the Dam. After seeing TF's pix I knew I had to get there.....he told me there was an abandoned skateboard there....ready to go.....then he mentioned when he left there were some kids around....we both looked at eachother and knew the longer we debated the less likely that board would still be there.....

So off we went.....we had 2 reasons to get there as quickly as possible.....

#1. The Bike Tour was about to start....and ...well.....TF was the one leading the pack on the tour....his presence was mandatory....

#2. That abandoned skateboard was not going to be around for long.

Unfortunately, we found no board upon our arrival. Feeling a bit letdown, but not deterred...I decided to give the rented bike a quick spin. The bowl was actually steeper than I initially thought.....there was no way to drop in properly with this bike without doing a faceplant in the glass at the bottom of the pool.....I had to lower the bike, then myself, to get started.

It was a blast...even with that bike. Tooled around for a few and as you can see TF took some cool pix. I especially like the last one with the skull and bones...it's now my wallpaper. Funny thing was, I didn't even notice the skull and bones until TF posted the pix....TF obviously knew what he was doing, but I had no idea....

Next year I need to make sure I have access to a decent board or a bmx bike for that pool....yeah I will even bring along a broom to sweep up the glass.

Stay tuned...next year TF may have some more pix to share.....

The Dam Bowl....Part II

Hats off to you TF.....thanks again.

mr.greenthumb and his friend 'adam' sure as hell brought there own cannabis.
And it looked and smelled devine...
