Hi HazemannHa

I agree, I did Sensi's once and done Nirvana's and a couple of other versions and they all had some sativa phenos, but it could be Skunk in there as you can get some pretty sativa phenos out of skunk crosses using the late 80s/early90s skunk.

The original Big Bud was different, I only did it once, but they were giant indicas, no sativa to be seen in them.

I think it's quite possible all the Big Buds we have today aren't the original BB, they are the Big Skunk line worked further.

Marc Emery used to sell some beans from BC, that were original Northern Lights cross with original Big Bud.................No Dutch influence at all. They were legit, cause I know a friend of the guy who sold them to him.

So I am sure there is still big bud out there with no Skunk in them.

NL x BB was done by the people behind Female Seeds in Holland, Nirvana sold it for years and it was the best strain they sold, cuts of it still float around the UK. Whether Emery's was the same thing, dunno, but Emery was so shady, he had reeferman make f2s of all the sensi strains way back in 96 cos it was cheaper to sell f2s as originals than buy the originals from Sensi. That was how reef got started in the seed biz.

The original Big Bud is still widely grown in BC, Krusty used to show a load of recirc biker bucket grows of it. Thing is, the guys running those recirc bucket systems are outlaws and bikers, not the kind of guys who would come anywhere near a weed forum.

The NL x Big Bud Im talking about is a BC strain. Both the mother and father never left the PNW area. Marc got these seeds from friends of ours. As shady as he was, these were real.
I wonder if someone still has these seeds in Vancouver somewhere?

I'm glad there are so many people defending BB. Every piece I've sampled has been complete crap. Grew some out and was so disappointed with the end result that I composted it.
If so many people are coming to it's defense, there must be some good phenos. I am really surprised.

You're completely right, fellow. Apart from noting that in the middle of all those indica giants there were some sativa pheno
that from my point of view are the best.... specially the catpiss pheno...

And yes, I love the catpiss pheno.... not my friends... but I have a love/hate relationship with it that is worth keeping... definetly Sativa, I think, goes up to 10-12 weeks... Massive Christmas tree colas... Special uplifting concentrating stone...

I grew Critical mass (3 or 4 versions, here is latest fashion) believe me, there is a REALLY good one around here; not that Critical bilbo (the clone we got was OK, but nothing special; for sure kids love it) but another one, reworked by Nuromix, from Shanti's cut.... that welll...amazing !!
Is one of the most astonishing plants I've ever seen ...
Only in cut, no seeds, not for sale, but maybe for giving away ;)
You can cut it in 55 days and is a very very good commercial pot (but who cares, here we are no dealers, just plant lovers), but at 80 , and properly cured....Man , delicatessen....really

Nothing to do (looks like a totally different plant) with Dinafem Critical + , much more afghani-like... this one is such a sativa lady in the structure.
I will try to find some pictures in my cards.... messy stuff

Cool man, the Dutch version rocked so i imagine the earlier BC version will be even better.

That sounds very interesting. The Bilbo I have smoked and thought it was okay but nothing special. I think the Dinafem version will be the Bilbo cut selfed.

I have often thought Nirvana's B-52 was a sativa relation of Big Bud, it's very big yielding and pretty sativa, the best phenos can be very tasty and potent, but most are mediocre, your description sounds like some B-52s I've seen in the distant past. I wonder how many Critical Mass seeds you'd need to grow to find the killer sat pheno?

Indifferent, if you come to Spain again; I don't know where U were; but if U come south, feel free to give us a nudge and we'll be happy to have you as a guest and completely change your mind on spanish growers/breeders... not everybody has $$ on mind ... some more on research... have a look to some works on Granada University, etc..

U're welcome to Andalucía, sir :tiphat:
