aquaman - got your pm, hope that helped, thanks for stopping by again

gift of gab - thanks. My cups had clear bottoms and I could see the roots grow around the edges and build up. I transplanted a little over two weeks after the germinated seeds broked through soil. The plants can go for a long time before becoming root bound. One thing to look for is how fast your plants are drinking the water they give them. If the soil is dry dry in 2-3 days you have a very thick root system (this is if you are saturating the entire container and not just "topping off"), if the soil is drying out in a day or less you are rootbound.

Good luck with your grow, even if you've tried before you'll still learn so much.

monkeybudz - thanks for dropping by, they're looking even better now. though I've had to chop a lot down because they were males. I'll have some new pics up soon.

Remember the mychrozia on the clones, for some reason I always forget it, bacteria is the main production factor of nutrient transportation.
anybody have any positive or negative effects with it??
It consume's a lot less space then compost bags/makers, perfect for limited "home" space, respectivley.

I had a 98% success cloning rate using only vermiculite and water in an 10 gal aquarium, no problems there. After roots form they go into the top soil of the males that's taken up the nuts already. I'm paranoid of burning my shorties, and I can fertilize when needed. I'm going to start brewing compost tea soon and that's what I want to use next.

The mycorrhiza stuff is suppose to work, but you're not actually going to see effects unless you've been using pretty shitty soil. A good blend of soil is going to give great results wheather you pump it up with fungus or not. Autoclaved soil is used all the time in greenhouses and plants thrive in it.

The compost tea really intrests me, seems like the best "living" fertilizer out there. A lot of universities have tested them, and they increase the plants' natural defenses against pest and pathogens as well as more vigorous growth with fruit/flower production increases. I'd like some tought, hardy plants. That and adding silicates to the soil I think is a good idea that I want to try as well.

I also want to try something else b/c I burned 3 plants a little bit when I transplanted into the new soil.

It turns out I did clone a handful of males that I'll have to sort out later. I'm going to reveg all the plants after harvest and clone the ones that smoke really well. That is if they do reveg, hope so.

I use top notch soil pretty much, we'll see if your hypothesis is right, I have 3 with the mychrozia and "a bunch" without it...did you buy a tea compost maker? hydroharrys.com usually has good deals on them, but it still seems too much to pay when its so cheap in the first place.

How's your genetics...where's that b52 from?? I got some Mr. Nice "Shit" right now for yield alone, just got done with the real Mr. nice and was pretty dissapointed with the yield, but the smoke was fantastic............hey i got a fact for ya........whats the #1 way you increase your yield????

buy a better yielding strain!!!

I'd love to see your results from that. Is everything from clone?

Gardens Alive sells compost tea kits that are suppose to give very good results, the kit comes with a gallon jug, air pump, airstone, and packets of the tea mix.

The b52 are from nirvana. I haven't looked much about Mr. Nice's genetics, but heard good things.

My high yielders are the big buds (nirvana again), they should do well. Nothing wrong with trying to be efficient either.

Tomorrow will be the third week of flower. I've tied some plants down as they were getting taller than the rest of the canopy and I wanted the light closer to all the plants and not just a few. This week has been really good for growth, faster than the second week. I'm trimming some of the bottom branches but most have grown so much that they are nearly the same height as the tops and their buds are just about the same size as the main cola budsight.

There is also one B52 that looks to be very airy at the moment, and is still putting out a more leaves than the others and not as much on the flowers. Also because of this plant I gave an extra hour of darkness during the dark period to make sure that it would change to flowering. There also my for some reason be extra nitrogen left in that pot (I didn't flush before switching to 11/13) but it would be gone by now if there was a large amount left.

I don't water them all at the same time anymore as each is pulling water up at different rates. But they all drink everything up in 3-4 days.

These girls have tripled their height since beginning flowering, the b52s more so.

Some group shots

These are all big buds, I'll get some shots of the B-52s soon, but they don't look as nice as the big buds.

It's been a few weeks since the update and the buds have gotten much bigger and a lot frostier. Three of my plants are having problems with nutrient burns and they don't look healthy, but their flowers are still retaining color and are growing at a comparable rate to the healthier ones.

There is one big bud plant that has very compact flowers and it also has the largest cola of the rest of the plants, pending a smoke test it's a keeper. I'm also going to keep the two b52s and see if I can do better with them.

There are few amber trichomes on the big buds, but will hopefully only be another 7 days before the chop.

The B52s need a lot more time, maybe even 20+ days.
