Sounds like a backhanded compliment to the prior administration for not leaving behind any huge messes. I hope Joe is equally successful at not starting any “new wars”.:bis:

We wont have a war with China, for sure.
Iran will be our main supplier of crude oil again,so scratch them off the list too.
I'm thinking possibly NK ,we're overdue for a war.

So basically.....

That means you are not confident that the Senate will convict Trump.

Why on earth would anyone rely on republicans to do the right thing?

I just posted a link to Moscow Mitchs' current comments as the powerful senate leader. The "grim reaper" I've heard him call himself. It seems like he sets the tone for what happens there.

I never stated my opinion on conviction in the senate, at all.

You seem really defensive and unsure of your own assertions. Is it because you predicted that the dems would never take control of the senate to begin with? You said that about the presidency as well.

If Georgia went by normal election proceedings the Republican's would have won the Senate. I was also right that Trump gained much more support. At the end of the day we all know Trump won't get convicted.

Trump 2024!

Ifs and buts....

We'll see.

P.S. trump has the lowest approval rating of his presidency, and the lowest of any president leaving office. Also, the only president never to reach 50% approval in Gallup polls during his term.

Are you sure he gained "much more" support?

The numbers don't lie, Trump gained 12 million more votes than in 2016. Speaking of approval ratings, Congress has never polled so low.

Increase in overall numbers of voters, and percentage wise, he had less support than he did in the past..

Putting numbers into context adds to the interpretation of them.

:chin: biden isn't even sworn in yet but today he's already demonstrated more presidential behavior and genuine humanity and compassion than trump mustered up in 4 years...arguably his entire life...

maybe we're just not used to the president not being a braying jackass...

Sounds like some shitty experience.

Walked on like Trump got walked on by Kim Jong Un?

Walked on like Trump got walked on by China in the trade war?

Mexico did not pay for the wall.

The reason you think it might be real news is the same reason it’s funny. Matt is one of several repubs that hang around white nationalist types and memorialize it with photos.

It’s only the “hundreds” part that makes the story unbelievable.

What you are describing is irony. The onion is a satire sight not an irony site.. I know it's hard to understand, since quite often satire sites actually scoop, the insanity of the democrats. Satire is not at all the same. But, thanks for playing.

North Korea isn't a brown country, and they have few natural resources. War mongers love invading brown countries. My money is on Ethiopia. Whoops, is that Diamonds and Gold, looks like you should get a healthy dose of Neo liberal Democracy. Gotta keep the machine churning, after 4 years of no new wars.

After Reagan, Bush, and Bush Jr it's funny when GOP'ers act like they are the anti war party.

Its funny how the democrats pretend they didn't vote for all the wars too. Atleast the GOP spent 4 years pretending they didn't want to invade every brown country.

Obama put the Bush's war mongering to shame.

Name me 2 GOP anti war groups when Obama was president who wanted us out of Iraq.

Every time Obama wanted to bring soldiers home the GOP said it was "better to fight over there then here".

Blaming Obama for Bush's war mistakes is priceless.

Keep the illusion going Trumpers. It was the GOP who loved the Iraq war.

Voter Breakdown
The dramatic, much-debated vote on Joint Resolution 114 was taken on Oct. 11, 2002. It passed the Senate by a vote of 77 to 23, and the House of Representatives by a vote of 296 to 133. In the end, 156 members of Congress from 36 states had enough information and personal insight and wisdom to make the correct decision for our nation and the world community.

Six House Republicans and
one Independent joined 126 Democratic members of the House of Representatives in voting NAY. In the Senate, 21 Democrats, one Republican, and one Independent courageously voted their consciences in 2002 against the War in Iraq. These discerning, courageous leaders are exactly what our country needs to lead us out of the present abyss in Iraq under the Bush Administration. We can trust their judgment!
