After watching Trump’s concession speech last night, it is quite obvious that he had a come to Jesus moment after the coverage of the Capitol pillaging. Possibly a discussion with some real lawyers? Or maybe he was lobotomised? It was a textbook kumbaya speech. With phrases like “will require all of us, working together . . .” WTF?

Really, a lot of people in public service go into this with a genuine interest in improving the world, from their own perspectives. I think they get stuck in a system that is constraining by party politics, with a lot of competing interests. Then it goes to shit, somewhat.

Of course some are just self serving arseholes too.

I think the same of those who go into Teaching as a profession. The system grinds them down and destroys their passion. JM02

I used to work 12-15 hour days, 7 days a week.
One shouldn’t have to work that hard to make it. Actually working too hard to make any money.
It’s not the taxes that are killing us. It’s the debt. Unregulated mortgages. High interest rates.

so many preconceived notions on who people are. Emotional attachment to a political candidate or party is sad. It's formed your whole view on who people are. It's what gives you the mental ability to dismiss Trump terrorists at the capitol.

A whole lot of people who thought they were part of the con now discovering that they were the marks. Which is exactly how a con works. It's what I've been saying for the last 4 years.

The guy stoked division and fear for 4 years and its obvious culmination was obvious. Luckily, Trump himself signed an executive order that anyone caught vandalizing fed property would be a 10 year minimum. Oh the irony of all the people who didn't want monuments to racist traitors torn down only to spend the next decade behind bars for desecrating the nation's capitol.
