BG goin' great outdoors

Hello my friends
I just want to share few good pics with you all once in a while...so expect more pics than "talks"...maybe better that way :biglaugh:
This thread could be also very informative for northern outdoor growers (at least I hope)

Anyway, first I want to give you some information about the strains and climate I live...
Becouse I live up in north and we have very VERY short summer, there is no guarantees for success. That's why plants have to be started indoors, always ----> longer growing season gives me better chances to get some results...
At the end of May or early June is safest time to move plants outside....

It is very wise decision to use plants that have autoflowering traits. Such as Lowryder and ruderalis based strains but even that isn't always key to mature flowers. There are still so many factors that could ruin whole work, such as spring frost, rainy summer like last one (all buds was attacked by mold), cold and rainy august could kill plants...If you live in northern latitude and you are planning to grow some cannabis outdoors you better forget exotic long season sativas etc.!!!!

Now, it should be very clear to you all that growing a couple of plants in the northern summer is really challenging job to do!!!
But hey, you can't win if you don't try!!!

Ok, let's move on.......
These are my strains for this summer:

FIN 420 ---> VERY big thanks to Tulumi for creating this autoflowering strain :friends:

27 ---> this strain I got from fellow grower from Denmark and it should be early flowering too.

BIG ---> this is also early strain from Denmark, thanks!!!

these plants are FIN420, they will be growing indoors now and I move them outdoors soon as possible..? These plants are about 3 weeks old....

So, if you are interested to see how our so much loved plant survive in the harsh weather of scandinavia, please take a seat, roll few big joints and enjoy the ride...this could be interesting, or not, it all depends on weather conditions....peace and love -BG-

ps. please prey for the warm sunny summer....

Nice bro. I see it's a bit rocky there. Same here. I have to use a pick-axe to make a hole...lol. This ground defies shovels. There is some rich soil between the rocks though. Kinda surprising.
Tell me 'bout your dirt, BG.

Hello Elvis....Yep, it's a bit rocky here...plants are growing at the southern side of big hill and this hill is full of rocks....Soil between rocks are mix of sand, clay and mould...not very good soil for the plants, too acidic...that's why I had to bring my own soil for the plants...
Believe me, it's a nightmare to carry those big bags full of quality soil in to the woods but after long walk and massive swearing and sweating I manage to do that :woohoo:
Weather is perfect now, +27c and sun is shining....I had to visit my plants soon, so except new pics soon....

That's too much work for me...lol. Do you add any lime?

Sorry you lost one to the moose. The deer have eaten my new roses. I know how you feel. You put all that work into something and it's gone overnight.

Im with you Elvis, too much work for my lazy ass, I love to hike, but not lugging around a big bag of soil.

When does 12/12 begin at your lat? Not for months Im guessing.

They will grow big enough....

:D can't wait.

Elvis: No lime added...Sorry about your roses....Wild animals can be real pain in the ass sometimes.....

gift of gab: Thanks stoppin by....lazy stoner LOL....it's only once a year "work"...and I like to see my plants doing fine....

12/12 regimen, well, yesterday was longest day of the year, day lenght was 19h 52min here, so basicly no darkness at night...And about 400 kilometers up north from here day lenght was 24 hours...can you imagine that....but these plants autoflowers (they should) so they are not dependent on light regimen....most of these plants have pre flowers already.....

Talk to you later....

use some 20lbs test fishing line and fence off the plants. just remeber to take it down and out of the woods when you are done
