Best way to set up scrubber and fan

i think your on the right track/train of thought VON :joint:

i would also get your ballasts OUT of the grow space and make sure u still manange their heat ( dont put em ina cramped/evenred space) those things dont need to be in the grow room they put off alot of heat!!! :yoinks:

BTW CO2 enrichment over 1000 PPM allowa the plant to tolerate more heat but CO2 makes the plants go faster they use more water, more nutes, and they respire more water vapor to the grow enviroment (watch your humidity if u seal and no venting as da "sandman" said to do)
good luck!

^^Exactly...if you can keep the temps at 85 with CO2 you're set. I have noticed that humidity in my sealed setup usually hangs around 60% even with the dehumidifier cranked and an AC keeping the temps down...but my dehum is honestly probably too small for my area.

You'll be surprised how well scrubbing the room air will work if it's sealed well...even with a smallish fan like that one pushing through the scrubber.

Buzz i like that idea of cooling the air cooled lights seperate and reciricualting the cool air through the scrubber.

If we have an air tight room how do we vent the room and get freash air in ??

or is that achieved through the air conditioner? to supply fresh outside air??

"drummer" in theory if u use co2 injection/burner/bucket.
you do NOT need to vent. you would need to vent if heat and or the humidity became a problem. your plants will produce fresh oxygen via photosynthisis. some folks never vent/fresh air intake cuzz their setup has been "tweaked" to not need venting.

i would suggest you read the whole thread as it would be very informative to you.
w/o specifics on your setup i cannot give you much more "advice"

I understand that you have to take temps into account sometimes. But what about us in canada. I don't have to worry about temps for 7 months out of the year. 34F degree highs outside not unusual for 4 of those months. Lights heat my whole 2br and closet temps are always 80 or below. I'm not running CO2 and would think that a 6inch vortex pullin air through my filter and then through 600hps then a 400 hps would provide excellent air exchange for the plants and good odor control.

Hey Buzz, thanks for posting that info. very interesting. I never knew you could do a room without exhaust :bashhead:
is cO2 expensive? do you go through a lot of it? and is it hard to get?

thanks :rasta:
