best way to make brownies?

used vape leftovers (7 g's), some mids (3 g's), and kief (.5 g) simmered in some veg. oil for an hour...they do the trick, I feel slight effects 20 mins in full 1.5 hrs in...

I don't vape all my stuff all the way, low temps for me...I find the vape line is 340 F in mine and cut it off right after visible vapor stops.

I simmered 14grams for 2hrs. I had a few left overs so I just made it an even 14g's.

To extract the thc, add 1/4oz finely ground weed to however much oil (canola and vegetable seem to work best) the recipe calls for and cook over medium low heat for around an hour stirring frequently. After the oil has cooled, strain the mixture through cheesecloth. Straining isn't always important, if I'm just making brownies for myself I don't bother and don't see any real difference but some people complain of stomach discomfort without straining plus the texture is better in the finished product. Add the canna oil to the recipe as directed on the box.

I took a paper plate lightly covered in freshly ground Johnny Blaze (Neville's Haze X Dj Short's True Blueberry) and added pinch of Mandala Sadhu for good measure. - Check

I found a brownie mix with peanut chips that required 1/2 cup of oil. - Check

I put 3/4 cup of oil in a small pot on the stove and dumped in the grass. I used more oil than needed to compensate for any loss. The pot was on low heat. The oil did not bubble, but the weed was circling around in the pot. Speaking of which, I mixed the pot often. I was done heating/mixing after 1.5 hours. -Check

I let the oil cool a bit. - Check

Next, I poured the oil through a 25 micron screen to filter it. Without any wait, I had 1/2 cup with some to spare. -Check

I mixed the ingredient as instructed by Betty. I used the extra oil to grease the glass pan. A pour, a 300 degree bake, and a clean toothpick later, I was done. - Check

I am super stoned. Thanks for the idea Illusion. - Check

Vape brown from light to dark depending on desire at vape time. I only use vape left overs and have sent one person on an insane journey, one to a hospital and made me vomit for an hour. Cooking can be dangerous even for the most seasoned smokers....

As for the best way to make brownies, cannabutter at 5 hours minimum is ready with any sooner being rushed. Look for a black/red shine on the butter and use it up. Let me know if you have any good oil recipes.

A good friend told me everybody has tried too hard with the recipe. All she does is grind into dust flour and add to Chococake mix bake not too hot using nice trim. They get better into the season.somes gonna knock you out. simple use butter or oil.

My vote is to use a brownie recipe with oil, it was much more successful for me.

I'm new to making canna butter and oil....so bear with me. I have one hesitation for using butter with brownies....mix calls for oil and I know enough about "standard" baking to know that it's completely different and I'm guessing that using butter would make my brownies a little too salty or rich.

I think I'm gonna try oil first...tonight is gonna be my first round of baking with MJ.....BUT if anyone can let me know how well canna butter substitutes oil, I'd rather make butter.

:lurk:

hi I was wondering, when you say

step 2: Simmer the stuff into some butter
Is that just melted down butter or did you add water as well? I'm basically just trying to skip the 'wait over night' step in cannabutter. I just want to make brownies as fast as I can for 420 later today :p

simmer the ganja in the butter for a long time. the longer you simmer it, the more thc is extracted, and the more potent the butter will be.

water is used so that the liquids within the butter do not evaporate.... let the water evaporate instead..

I am going to go against the grain and suggest using oil rather than butter especially if it is your first time making brownies. It is simpler and, I believe, a little more efficient at extracting thc (owing to method, not chemistry) plus you don't have to worry about potentially browning the butter. Oil also has a higher smoke point than butter and keeps fairly well so you can make a large batch and save some for latter. Finally, while butter certainly does make for better homemade brownies, I always use the box mixes when making special brownies and most call for oil rather than butter.

I typically use about 1/4 oz of finely ground regs per box of mix and divide the resulting pan into 8 brownies. Each brownie has a little less than a gram of weed this way which is plenty to put infrequent smokers down for the count but is just right to leave me extremely high for about 8 hours, your mileage may vary and a lot depends on the quality of the weed.

There are as many ways to cook with weed as there are people who do the cooking so try a few methods and see what works best for you. For example, some cook weed in oil for as long as 12 hrs while others only cook it for 20 minutes. I cook for an hour because it is convenient and results in a potent enough product for me. If you do use butter I suggest the crock pot method and it really is best to use clarified butter. Good luck and let us know how they turn out!

I'd have to agree, oil is much easier for a beginner to cook and generally will get you a bit more bang for your buck. My magic number is 3 hours of cooking on low heat. I really can't give you an exact number as far as weed to oil ratio as i usually just throw handfulls in and then pour oil to cover it.

I like to toss and handfull (or three) of mini-marshmellows into my brownie batter, it makes for a nice caramelly top.

On top of brownies and cookies, I have a few other favorites. This stuff works great in salad dressings, in pasta sauce, and you can whip in into ice cream, just don't let that sit too long or else it will seperate and get all greasy.

Males will get you high!

Males will get you high!

Thought I would chime in here since your question has not been answered yet. Male plants do contain THC and will get you high. I do not recomend smoking them, but they are fine for hashing and/or cooking. :dueling:It is not a popular thing to do and many scough at the thought, but in a pinch..... Who cares!:nanana: And I do speak from experience. Do a search for Gumby Hash if you dont have Bubble Bags.
