I owned an Arizer Extreme Q, using it for about 6 months. It worked just fine in getting one high/stoned, and is the only vaporizer I've ever owned. I must say I'm not overly enthusiastic about the taste afforded. And, I still prefer the more sudden sensation I experience with smoking, of crossing the wall (I know - somewhat strain dependent); smoking seems more of a sharp demarcation and I missed that some with vaping.
Anyway the glass piece with the frosted glass bottom, which is inserted with a little twist into the place where the heat is produced inside the hole, broke what holds the frosted glass piece in place. I must have applied too much force when inserting it and twisting slightly. That was the end of it.
Just to be different next time, I may go for the Arizer Solo or other portable vaporizer, so I can easily experience it in different settings other than my living room.
I'm pretty sure you can buy the replacement parts for the Extreme, I had the pre-Q version and had to replace some bits after an accident. I don't really use it as it sounds like a hoover going off next to you . I am sure you can replace any bits you've broken though.
It is undoubtedly a different hit, but one I've soon become used to, but there was a time I didn't think it cut it. Its the same for spliffs with tobacco gives a very different hit to a pipe or bong. My chest has suffered a lot of abuse up to now, so I feel its time I made an effort to find better (for my health) ways of getting stoned. I can now gear my vaping to the stone I want a lot more than I could with spliffs, the only hit I cant get with the vape is the "spliff" hit, lol, but that's a good part down to carbon monoxide and other chemical reactions to combustion, not so good for the lungs long term
