Best spot in Cali?

Hi, i live in So Cal, i have to say where i live is the best place ever. im 35 mins from the beach or 45-50 to venice beach, 20 mins from anaheim stadium/ducks pond/disneyland. 30-40 mins from knotts berry farm, 45ish from the mountains. Anything i can think of doing is a short drive away, Plus where i go to get my meds (santa ana, OC(anaheim/gardengrove), sometimes LA) theres is TONS of places and i know they are looking for bomb product, i see people bring in there samples all the time.

It can get pricey but in the end i promise its worth it. Someone said 909, i agree but certain areas, Anaheim, Brea, Diamond Bar, Walnut, Rowland Heights, Covina. Those are all in the same general area as where im at and i think that would be the best choices for any price range.

i still get 3 for my OGs (indoor) and 35-38 when my homies take it down to the bay to shops....
i quit growing outdoor and just grow facemeltin-ly good OG for the cali domestic market for the reason you just described Nondual, - cheap out door crap has destroyed the out door market and black box is now the industry baseline for quality

plus i like indoor more

N

Nondual

What's black box?
It means you take some outdoor plants then cover on and off manually morning and night and basically you create a forced light cycle so outdoor plants flower in the middle of summer.

I was poking fun at a glutted scene. Not entirely serious.

Network as much as possible. Grow the best Strains you can, with attention to detail. The Cream always rises to the top. I personally do not like to support the Electric Company, but that is what we must do.

For now, I am concentrating on Greenhouse-grown high-quality Varieties, Organic.

If you know how to produce good product, i believe anyone cant make it in Cali. ive just got settled in the bay area and to tell you the truth, i havent seen any product that was any better than Colorado or NYC...
I think much of the hype about Cali growers is strictly from Cali growers with lots of pride... and that just fine because if I was from Cali id prob do the same...
But on the lo.... their shit is no better than a few growers in knew back home, in Georgia.. really i feel we southern growers have a leg up on the rest of the country, because was gettin 4 crops outside,& 3 inside per year, i cant do this in Nor Cal.

If you were going to move from the South to Cali to participate in the med scene....(yeah yeah)....what's the best spot to settle down? I'm a country boy who doesn't want to be too crowded.....so maybe on the edge of town/suburbs, or a bit out in the country, within easy reach of interesting places? I'm thinking somewhere in Nor Cal for sure. Looking to rent a house with a sizeable garage, or a commercial building.

Haven't decided for sure, just kicking the idea around. I am for sure moving out of my present state which sucks. If I don't move to Cali it would probably be somewhere like Nashville or Chattanooga.

Any input appreciated....(besides negativity)....thanks.
Gilroy in norcal, close to the action in bay area, its farm land for garlic, and is just right not so tight where you trip and fall in your neighbors side. Note tho, California is outragious in cost of living, and if your from the south, which is where I am now visiting, you are not use to the amount of ppl cali has, I put everything on it you will crap when you see how many ppl live in one spot.

Traffic, I frickin hate traffic, keep in mind if you work 45min away you will spend 3 hours ady in just your car going, and coming to work, 45 min at Micky Ds, its just not good if your a pay check to pay check person. I left cali, born and raised, peeping some other spots to live, and the south is cheap to live, but man frickin ppl out here still stuck in segrigation, its about who you know, not what you know, you cant go a mile without seeing muti million dollar churches, some right across the street from the other, and worst of all no Legal MEDS, hell no one even seems to care about legalizing it, but a hand ful of ppl.

I would not go to LA, or anywhere socal, I know Im from Long Beach myself, but cant stand it anymore, its way different from just the 90s! Good luck on the pick, and Beware of the police if you do go protest, and get involved, the Bay area is renowned for protesting, and you got some strong, good ppl who stand up up there, but I witnessed it first hand, the police dont play like out in the south, they deal with major shite everyday, south cops dont, and just depend on the good ol boy system. Remember Rodney King is all I got to say-We got lucky someone actually filmed that beat down!

The entire south is full of judgmental assholes, dagnabit. They are called Southern Baptists. There's also a class system and the people who consider themselves in the upper classes (i.e. me) are damn choosey about who they associate with. That's why you have to develop an intensely strong dont-give-a-fuck field + self confidence to surround yourself and let the dumb opinions of dumb asses bounce off harmlessly. Tennessee is a beautiful state and Nashville is its shining star, so I dunno what you're talking about Willis. Then there's Chattanooga, Memphis, Gatlinburg, the Tail of the Dragon, and a dozen other awesome spots in TN. I'd take Tennessee or Alabama over Cali any day, if/when bud is legal across the country. Hell, even Georgia, maybe. That state pisses me off though cause it's the first and only time I ever got a ticket for a cracked windshield, in my old Chevy truck. Didn't even know that was a ticketable offense, until then....

Cali is nice for weather, clones and what not...but good luck fuck finding loyal people to work with(there's somethin to southern hospitality), huge shortage in Cali..many are selfish and short sighted. The South not all bad and yes it's segrated, no more than LA or the bay though..Fuck Southern haters! The weather prime for some Sativas, the humidity brings on rapid growth.

ive lived in MS,AL,FL,LA and TN

Nashville by far is the WORST!!!

i preferred east TN even locals admit anything east of the cumberland plateau might as well be another state.
i loved sevierville when i lived there.

nashville has the unmitigated gall to be dry on sunday and call themselves "nash vegas"
it aint the thumpers in nashville. it's the bleach blond(men and women) cookie cutter sheep.

i've seen first hand how they treat growers.

ill say again FUCK NASHVILLE

nashville is no "shining star" she is a washed out trailer trash whore.

i know all about the class system and nashville is the worst of it!
i had the right address. i have the right horse flesh and i had the right job. i was top of the class system.
it's the seething evil underneath..

the "celebration" for instance.
everyone knows what those motherfuckers do to their animals 51 weeks out of the year. but they turn a blind eye because the celebration is "so nice" and "a tradition".

this shit happens in all aspects of the fake plastic shithole that is nashville.

it's like the LA of the south.
cute little blond girls think they can sing and end up blowing conway behind de jevu.

i did like the opryland for christmas..

watched the "high class" in nashville line up to have their children spit on the dixie chicks "star" on (another fucking nashville rip off)the walk of fame outside the gibson shop at opry mills.
but i said FUCK NASHVILLE not fuck TN

one of my favorite places in the world is Rock Island or fall creek falls

burgess falls is nice as well.

fwiw my wife loved nashville and would move back in a second..

i knew n,ville was a fucking joke when i moved there from NOLA and some little robo twunt heard my accent and told me "honey your in the south now you cant talk like that no more" then got all huffy when i informed her i moved 7 hours north to get there.

don't get me started on east TN nanthahala is amazing!!!

Haha. Funny stories...

Each region is quite different. There is no perfect, as far as I can see.

Speaking about California:

To get far away from Metropolitan areas so one can have privacy has its' challenges. If one is less than 1.5 hours from a major City, the cost is astronomical, due to all the rich commuters who are within carshot of their moneyed job in the City.

When one gets to 3+ hours from said City, the prices are still quite high, but there is very little work available. There is however, Space to work... So, that is where many people grow Cannabis. Some communities know that without 420, there would be very little if any economic activity.

One gives up OTHER opportunities in order to be able to enjoy the chance to grow MJ - and the Lifestyle.

Cutting-edge Music and Culture (except for Cannabis Culture) can seem rare...

Although many are perfectly normal, and WITH scruples, some people can be Flaky. You got to Stick it to 'em or shame 'em into doing the right thing sometimes. "Leverage" is very important to people. The subtle game, Passive-Aggressive in manifestation. Landlords always leave behind a Gardener, watchful neighbor, or Hot Tub repairperson, who can report on anything amiss...

Social opportunities are different 3 hours outside a major City too. For some, Staying in relationships longer than one should, due to the loneliness alternative, happens.. Conversely, Single Life can become normal. Alone Time is amazing, but too much of it, and Jojo goes Kookoo..

And it ain't a Swinging area.. Isolation can be a part of the Job Description. You got to think about who you invite home, ya..?
People talk.. Maybe they talk about your garden....

Import a good Female...! A trustworthy one, 'cause the Rural Western Life can take its' toll on relationships. Some places are better than others.. Other Guys/ex-boyfriends in an incestuous scene like NorCal can be PITA's. Since you most likely were not born and raised up here. Bring a good one...! In fact, bring two, in case ya lose one...

The ultimate Outdoor activites and the space to enjoy them, like nowhere else - also exist up here. Europeans go absolutely Apeshit when they see the Space, the Low-Density and slow pace.

The Beauty, the Ocean, and the topography we have - we make trade-offs to live here - just like in other places like Hawaii..

All these things are factors. If things fall correctly it can go good. Sure is inspiring scenery. Every day.

^^^ What Stasis said.

Also, bring lots of money. Everything will cost more than you think. Fees you never heard about.

To get the feel of a community, read back issues of the local paper.

Good luck.bg

Much of the 707 and 530 is DEAD boring. Little if any Diversity. Run-'o-the-mill WhiteGuy Beer/Truck Culture.. With a few Redneck/Hippies thrown in. Hard to tell the difference sometimes. Important to cultivate a rich Inner-Life..

Perhaps, one enjoys watching a Dog catch and eat a Jackrabbit raw (just happened here on this property, this AM).
I really liked that Jackrabbit, he came by every morning. Roomate's Dog decided to chomp it and eat most of it. That's Great.

Hippie/Redneck-Hybrid Potlucks, where the Guys, many in Camo, go to one side of the room and try (without success) NOT to talk about pot cultivation.

Basically, what I am saying is that the Surf has been CRAP for months now.. haha..

Coastwise: Dusty-Dirty Rasta White Girls, who eschew showers and deodorant... Fat Girls just POP-POPPing out of those ill-chosen hip-hugging tight jeans.. AND all dealing out attitude. Yeah, be a Local Hell-raiser, like the ones born and raised here... Make sure the local Sheriff knows you, your Dogs, your Truck, your location.. For when you are growing well over 100 plants... Brilliant.

You can tell the tourists.. The Girls brushed their hair, and thought about what they were going to wear before they left the Inn or vacation rental. And the Guys, they have the Hawaiian shirts on.

During these, Truly, the most glorious days of Summer, Mid-June to August... I take a long drive each day. Looking for waves. The light almost blinding, the colours amazing. Flowers, Ocean, 40-50% costlier to live than the midwest, for example.. With MUCH less "legit" opportunities. There is a price for this weather/lifestyle.

As the Hazy, Dreamy Harvest Season begins with the first smells of Heatstove Woodsmoke, "skunks" seemingly all around, the lower angle of the Sun, the Red spectrum. Everyone stays home every day..

Fall settles in: Great White Shark Season. Eyes Peeled in and out of the water. Not stressed. Cycle of Life.

Mystical, muffled, dangerous, windless, wonderfully-tense like a joint of SSH, September / October. I love the feeling of Harvest Season... The anticipation. Vacation Planning on the internet at 3am.. The flight a reward for HARD work. Totin' that bale... And the many bales after it. Finally setting up the trim room..

The Allure of CA is obvious. I was lucky to fall into this place. By no means guaranteed. I was Ill-prepared when the bottom fell out of the market a few years ago... Semi-Tough going for the near future, til the light-dep finishes... But Summers go fast. As my wise Brother says, "Another Day in the Books."

Just have money if you come, as some have said. More than ever, be prepared to part with it rather quickly.. How to replace it - that is the question. A question many people are asking at the same time...

Michigan is great for many reasons, You Betcha'.. The People Super Solid - excellent the way folks respect each other. Lake Superior is remarkable, you're right...! In fact, the whole UP and a large part of Da Mitten too. How about those Northern Lights...?>! Let's not forget about Ann Arbor - or Traverse City - both wonderful areas. It's all good. I wish it was less humid, and freezing...
