Best shatter containers/packaging

Thank you AM!!! Just ordered a couple hundred of them!:woohoo:

Your input is greatly appreciated!

I need to find a new label maker because mine is kind of cheap/tacky (Avery)

Any suggestions?

Honestly, the most impressed I've been with a package so far was a custom ink stamp, not a label. It looked good, logo was clear, and was probably cheaper for them than stickers (they probably stamped each envelope themselves).

Easiest way to do labels has to be a thermal printer, if you don't mind a monochromatic look: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005TJMC0S They print fast, are easy to setup, and only do one thing - print stickers - so there aren't the same headaches as using an inkjet/laser and those stupid sheets of Avery stickers.

Haha, oh, now I've found custom embossers. THAT would be a super neat way to mark an envelope, but I doubt you'd be able to get the embossing tool in something as small as those coin envelopes. Probably would need to move up to a 3x3" square or something. Hmmm...

Thanks again AM! I agree, this is almost exactly what I'm looking for! Although my logo is very colorful so I really need something that can print color..

I'm looking into several different custom label making sites for different quotes.. Not much luck there though.

There's a good chance I'm going to buy the brother ql-700 as well for other uses. Thanks again for the link!

FirstClassConcentrates in the bay area started putting their label on the backside of the parchment paper... but some (read: most) people weren't smart enough to not put the shatter on the side of the parchment with the ink so they stopped doing it I believe.. LOL

First gram I ever bought came in a little glass vial. Early seventies. I just looked on line they are still available for about forty cents each.

These are absolute shit, along with all of the other food grade silicone containers. Not only does butane have a very negative reaction to food grade silicone(there shouldn't be much anyways, if its finished) but supposedly some terpenes are strong enough to strip paint!(quoting GW on that) Food grade silicone is not something that should come in contact with any cannabis extracts. The only circumstances which I will use those are when the product is wrapped in ptfe(or parchment, for others) prior.

just wanna point 1 thing out... if there is still butane in your oil by the time you are packaging it. yeah why? i personally wouldn't be smoking it if there was still butane in it, especially if there is enough that there is a chance to leach the silicone.

get as many as you want, when they get to you wash them all with alcohol, or at-least that's what i would do and have done. ive never had anyone complain about silicone leaching. ive also never seen once of the silicone containers discolor/stain.

I guess they'd be called "Mini top-open envelopes".

Look to be pretty cheap if you don't care about color: http://www.officedepot.com/a/produc...ucts/960336/Quality-Park-Coin-Envelopes-3-18/
Color options: http://www.envelopes.com/business/open-end/1-coin-envelopes-24lb-bright-white

Thanks for the link....
Prime extractions and several other companies here in socal use the exact same coin envelopes with there logo on it...

Looks like you can send them your logo and theyll print them right on the envelope..No need for stickers...Although the stickers really help when you have limited batches so you dont end up with envelopes you cant use cause its a dif strain...

i usually use the oil slick "sheet" (alternative to parchment) wrap it with that and then put a piece of the type of saran wrap that sticks to itself (cant think of the name) and then just put my gear into manilla envelopes. the ones that close at the top with the 2 metal prongs. those coin envelopes are similar. this keeps my work clean and all in one place. and because of the plastic wrap the slick sheet remains folded. my work (shatter usually) is usually broken down into 1 oz slabs so its easier to handle. i find it easier to to separate it fresh than after its been sitting for a while in one big piece and is hard as a rock. the potential for it to crumble when you break it up is higher when you have a bigger piece. just my 2 cents.

I have a method where I actually fold an envelope out of parchment paper that self closes and then for extra measure seal it with green painter tape with a hand written weight on it. The paper that is half foil works good because it can hold it shape and the painter tape sticks to the foil side better than the plain parchment paper but still comes off really easily. I store the envelopes inside of a binder. At first I was worried about the binder breaking my shatter but it didn't. Keeps it real safe. And I put "Warning Fragile Glass" labels I print out all over the binders just to be cheeky.

I started with parchment, still silicone, but properly purged it's ok, silicone containers from china are dirty, bad quality, not meant for what we are trying to use them for, and pick up dust hella bad. Im looking for better USA glass vials, but right now I'm back on parchment inside small envelope. But I would really like to know what people like?

I'm sorry to say, this is the first time that I have ever heard of people using envelopes and parchment. Would you consider the silicon containers in the snapshop below to be cheap and made from China, because I've been using them fine, especially for concentrate that is less solid in nature. This company also sells parchment papers, but I was curious how envelopes have been working for you?

well if those are similar sized to ones I own you could only fit about an eighth in one of those containers. And if it was shatter you would have to break it all up into tiny bits. I was talking about storing big slabs of shatter. I don't individually package things. But I do have some silicon containers for my own stuff. Some are nicer than others. But I still like parchment better unless I want to throw some in my pocket. I have a silicone hash wallet that works pretty slick for a small chuck of shatter. search "silicone wallet dab wizard". I gotta say though, the dab wizard sales rep I encountered on ioffer was a huge dick. Their not on that site anymore, but I still hate sending them business. Good hash container though.

Also the ones you showed at like $30 are waaaaaaaaaaay the fuck over priced.

those kind of containers are good for oily stuff though if you like decarbed. And steer clear of the acrylic ones, you'll never get all your hash back out.

Hope that helped.

I checked out Dab Wizard and their concentrate containers are superior. I've yet to see a selection of containers that are as wiede in variety and of sound quality as these. Good find.

The only thing I didn't see was the parchment paper.

I found parchment paper from the vendor that you used before here:
http://www.marijuanapackaging.com/natural-pre-cut-parchment-paper-3x3-4000-bundle.html

Is $59.99 too much? I called this company too and they said its because of the quantity.

Yeah way to much unless your to lazy to cut it yourself but then your stuck with their tiny squares. It comes out to 250 square feet for $60, I buy a 205 square foot roll from sams club for $6 and I cut it myself with an old school paper slicer like they have in schools that look like it has a machete on it.

You need a membership to buy from sams but they sell it at most grocery stores.

Sams doesn't sell the kind with foil on one side I buy that at kroger but I don't remember how many square feet or how much it cost. More than the normal kind but it's a better product.
