best place for mini split head placement?

the duckies are now all in a row and getting started on the new 14x20 sealed room :)

using a mitsu 32,500btu ac/heat mini split.
the easiest way for me is to mount the head on the 14ft side
of the room and it will blow down the 20ft long-length of the room.
but wondering if i may have heat issues with the head being 20ft away on the long run of the room? :shucks:
this is my 1st exp. with a mini split, would it be better to mount it in the middle of the 20ft run? or the 14ft run.
I'm hoping the 14ft wall is the best place so the outside condenser placement will be much easier and won't need extra line set, more R-410 etc etc

With a room that big it doesn't really matter which wall you mount the head. But I'm inclined to do it the way you stated. Then I'd put a fan near the bottom of the head, to blow cold air across the room.
Mine is mounted the same way, blows air the length of the room. I mounted a fan next to the head unit and have 4 more fans mounted around the room. That way the temps stay even and the plants get that nice movement from the fans. Win/win situation:biggrin:
Btw, smart move buying a name brand unit. Double kudo's for it being a Mitsubishi:ying:

thanks puscifer,
i plan on have more fans inside to get the air moving around in there,
it'll also help blow the CO2 around.
I could have gotten a cheaper brand mini, nearly 1/2 the cost,
but the last thing you want in this situation and with what you have riding on the line
is cutting corners with a cheapo unit that craps out on ya in the middle of augus,
5 weeks in bloom and you find out it another 3-4weeks to have the part shipped in from
yangtowpow mongolia... :shucks:

Hey Gnome

I'm planning an 18' long room and a different method to address the problem of temperature distribution. I have a room within a room, with access to the "inner wall". Without this access, this solutiion would be difficult or cluttered with extra ducts in the room.

On the opposite end from the AC, I'm pulling/exhausting air and ducting (outside the room) back to the AC side of the room. This will give constant flow from the AC side to the exhaust side of the room. Using DHF's commandment of "III. Thou shalt exchange thy air 2x a minute", I'm using 2 fans/ducts, on left and right sides of the room, to keep "air flowing around the plants, not on the plants." These exhaust ducts will help pull and mix the conditioned air, though for extra mixing, I plan to use a fan or two as well.

Another method I've seen is using fans to setup a circular pattern around the room. Multiple fans all pointing in a clock-wise direction. Keeps the air moving. No experience with this, but seems like a possible solution?

Good grown !
