The best Sweet Tooth doesn't come out of BC though it comes out of my room! :bigeye:

I consider it to be more Swiss though, much like my watch! ;)

The SPG is a straight up Canadian clone and I figured I would give credit to the original parent mother of Swt although yes Sweet Tooth did start in Canada with Steve & Marc Emery selling beans. :canabis:

Found in the seeds Steve made during a run of SPG clones and brought back to him, later released by Steve and used to make some other strains with. Early and mid 90's Breeder Steve was in Canada when this all took place. Spice of Life seeds originally started by selling seeds through Marc Emery who is the person that got Steve into the biz basically.

I think buddah just innocently mixed up the BC thing and all the strains Steve made in Switzerland since he was over there awhile after. No harm done there! ;)

What do ya mean no harm done??
This is a HUGE insult, not only to the Republic of B.C.,but to Our Queen, His Royal Hiney Queen Bodacious of Hastings St.-----But we will probably get over it :comfort:

Almost all that aren't grown by the gangs are kick ass and they export that across the border for coke.

The strains and cuts around Van can make your day folks.

all the best cuts i have or smoked are from bikers or affiliates originally. if it wasnt for them alot of cuts wouldnt be here from all parts of the world, d

grapefruit is not a blueberry hybrid DMT, come on man.

Soft, you keep feeding the public the sweet skunk myth that was created to sell an image (and seeds), but has no basis in reality whatsoever. Check the DNA, there is no spg in Sweet skunk.... please stop spreading marketing bullshit as fact. I know the principles involved, and the real story behind the ´discovery´ of the ss·10... the provenance of the clone is simply unverifiable. It certainly was not found by steve, but given to him by another grower... just like the vast majority of the clones that formed the basis for the initial SOL stock offerings.

Afghani red / yellow.- obtained from another grower.
Craig´s skunk / Obtained from another grower.
grapefruit - obtained from another grower.

The DJ Blueberry male was not selected from a popultion, but stumbled upon out of 5 seeds - 3 females that never were flowered out and 2 males. Selection? I think not. Heterosis from unrelated parental lines is a much more realistic explanation for some of these lines showing some promise. There were good plants within, but many many dogs too- something we see from polyhybrids all the time.

As far as Mark getting steve into the seed business, that´s not exactly true. Steve was making seeds and growing outside in London and in Ottawa where he did his arts degree. Steve knows how to make money, and both he and Mark realized they could help the other (or themselves?) in that endeavour, but both of their their egos are too big for one city and that al came to a crash relatively quickly... with each blaming the other.

Plumb bud was the only line steve brought with hom to BC. Ontario is the region of provenance for the plumb bud, which fell apart after generations due to poor selection (and I speculate to an extremely low number of founders, ie 2) when it was brought to BC.. imo this is why it never achieved popularity as a seedline.... it just wasn´t stable and had few winners.

I´ve personally grown all of the original seeds in populatons of 100 plants plus, and some of their progeny mated inter se for as manay as 4 generations... I gave up on the Strawberry Blond intersex 4-way polyhybrid produced by a red headed couple that are no longer together, who made the batch of seeds for steve in their bedroom.... just wasn´t as advertised. He was a nice guy and she was a real cutie, but they weren´t breeders in any sense of the word.

There was more hype than work in the SOL stuff offered via Marc´s catalog, but the prices were reasonable compared to the dutch imports so they sold a bunch. Demand outstripped suply, and they were eaten up by the time heaty steve was being watched by the cops heavily for his involvement in procurring and redistributing lbs.

I am still waiting for them to correct an order placed more than 2 years ago. After not hearing back from like 5 emails, I finally gave up. I since found they have a very bad reputation.

Chimera, always a pleasure

I think we all can agree that everything that everyone has came from someone else, somewhere else from some other time. Just like your breeding with Shishka, and I know you properly work lines so it came from somewhere else but in essence it is yours now. Steve was honest about SPG being given to him as "The only plant to grow" and so on and so forth. I know you have always been honest too so props for that and keeping SOL genes alive & well. :respect:

In the past you had said that Sweet Skunk was SPG x NL/Haze

http://hightimes.com/grow/chimera/2689

Whatever the Sweet Skunk is, with SPG or not it's a damn good strain and I am glad I used it in some hybrids with Sweet Tooth #4 so it sure has some SPG in it now. :canabis:

Where would we be without all these goodies from Canada, eh? BC is VERY cool with me! :respect:

smoked some BCSC's BALDY ( NL#5 x Bigbud ) that was WAY better than i expected... chunky, frosty buds with a spicy/hashy smell/taste and a strong up high (sativa pheno ?). the growers boasted of yields 3x that of kush plants !
