^That's what I was thinking Herbsman. I'm always curious to see what bagseed ends up looking like and what is often grown as commercial etc...got a library of old bagseeds labelled and waiting to be discovered if only I had a greenhouse or larger space. Good work guys.
wow rusto. those are some amazingly fat colas. i know the genetics are out there, but grown under a 70 w hps thats very impressive for bag seed. how long did you veg it for? what medium did you use? and do you want to send some of those beans in exchange for my eternal respect, love and friendship :-D
crappy shots, but if you look close you can see that all the hairs grew in purple.
this plant cured to an interesting smoke. it smelled like grandmas hideous perfume. and smoked with a really distinct tart berry flavor that doesn't really taste like anything i've ever come across at all. like really fine persian incense smoke or something. i've never come across a plant like it. i have a few hundred seeds of it left but they are in a box somewhere. probably getting warm in the film container. the bubble from this was like pure perfume. almost too intense for some people to handle. a little is good alot is better but extreme can overdo it. i really wished i saved this one. the high was really euphoric and somewhat eccentric for herb sort of light and wispy in terms of the stone. a really good daytime smoke.
same plant...its the one infront of the greenhouse white widow beast. the one to the back right was a bagseed...we wont talk about that one... complete waste of f'n time...made interesting bubble tho.
this is another bagseed that actually came off a bag i had to buy *shreek*. it was one of two that were both female. it's either green crack or blue dot. it grew in really nice and hardy with a great tropical fruit smell. and cured to a really earthy overly harsh smoke... kinda weird how the buds looked and smelled dank as hell when it was growing in... but when it dried it was complete crap.. probably some of the stonier bubble hash. the stone was a strong uplifter that kinda rang in your dome for an hour or two if you know what i mean and tapered out to a good body high. probably stonier than the white russian in terms of the medicated high. it was one of those strains that you had better plan to smoke when you had absolutely nothing to think about or do for a couple hours as it made ppl completely f'n retarded.
i don't know if any of you have had that experience with plants like that... look good but aren't..... bagseed is my favorite to grow... the double blind way to play the genetic lottery. you never know when its your turn to get mother that puts out some freaky frosty budz! the it never hurts to spend a few hundred bucks on a few different stabilized strains always nice to mix your own genetics
EM and P.Johnny - Hot damn you guys are makin this thread better than I coulda ever hoped for!!! Much respect for postin and showin folks that the next White Widow, SuperKush, Purple whatever is gonna come from guys like you who have the pebbles to grow the unknown seed and see what happens. Again much respect again for the incredible show!!!
First off, Thanks for the compliments!
I tried a few of the seed I stashed away after finding them and got some really good smoke. The gump sister didn't face the strict criteria I made when I started trying to make my own kinds. I have some F3? seed from the gump also. She sprouted a few bananas in about the third week. There were about 5 that showed up. They were different from other hermaphrodites I have seen in pictures. Instead of being a bunch of bananas, it was just 1 at a time.
I left 2 on the bottom bud to seed the lower one if it even could. I really thought it wouldn't be viable pollen in such a lonely looking finger.
It made seed. Not many, 5 or 6 that might work and about 2 dozen white shells.
I don't think any of them are good. It was a learning experiment.
About the gump. I took 4 lowest branches when I switched over to budding. I did it almost a week after having the lights on 12/12. Out of the 4, 3 lived. I took the best one of them to be my Mommy Gump. Here is a picture of me training her to make lots of little Gumps
