Best Addition to your Room?

I had a huge 8" Can-Fan brand filter and replaced it with the smaller 8" Phresh Filter. The Phresh filter definately outperformed the CanFilter. I also have a Uvonair 5000 ozone generator, but nothing could stop the stink of 60 or so Sour D's. I have 6 other strains going, but as soon as I dropped the Sour D from the lineup my odor problems disappeared. Well almost. Lets just say it SIGNIFICANTLY reduced my problem.

My best addition so far, has been the autopots, and moving over from handwatering, to autowatering. Coupled with the airdomes, growth is alot bigger and more robust, and faster.

I'd really like to add an air-cooled hood next. Not sure i need anymore sopisticated equipment than that. It would be pretty dam good just with a air-cooled hood added.

Nutes wise, best thing i found so far is canadian express.

This is turning out to be one of my favorite threads. So much good info here. At this rate, might just end up a sticky one day. :dance013:

Sorry, bud.

I have a dual zone Mistubishi Mr. Slim mini split A/C system. It rocks.

My flower room has a 24k btu unit and my veg area has a 9k btu unit. They both run off the same outdoor condenser unit and it's WHISPER quiet. I can't even tell it's running if I don't look at it and see the fan moving.

The 24k unit keeps 3kw as cold as I want it, I keep the stat set at 75 and my canopy never sees 79*F. Same with the 9k unit, keeps a 1kw MH and a 4 lamp t5 fixture as cool as can be.

Best money I ever spent. The install was pretty easy too if you're handy at all. I had a safe HVAC guy help me pull vacuum and charge it. Runs like a top. Came with a warranty too.

Thanx Extreme. You just gave me another idea for the thread. Since I'm looking for an A/C, and multiple members will give :good: on a product, lets add an approximate price to the hardware.

If Member A paid $300 and Member B paid $200, I'd sure like to PM member B to see where he may have purchased it to save a few bucks.

So with that said Extreme, how much was the 24k BTU, as I need to get one soon.

Thanx in Advance

Best addition- 2 Quantum T5 BadBoy 4ft 12 lamp fluoros for the veg room.

Best subtraction- Got rid of my Sour Diesel. It was stinkin up the whole neighborhood. Even with a new 8" Phresh filter.

Good call Dupp. I love my HydroFarm T5 also. Very good investment. Got if from a hyrdo/florist shop for just over $150 at 4ft, and 8 bulbs can't beat that with a stick.

It hangs 3 ways. Vert, horizontal, or overhead. 6400K at around 40k lumens I believe.

Sure helped my veg area tremendously.

Makes me happy, i'm using drip clean in my new autopot setup. Was cheap as hell too. Not tried the shooting powder, is it that much better than pk 13/14?

Sounds like you could use a fan speed controller. Slow the fan down a bit to increase dwell time in the carbon. Works like a charm.

The Mistu Mr Slim dual zone with a big ass outdoor condenser unit, 24k indoor, 9k indoor, line sets and wiring was right around $3800 with free shipping from goductless.com. But their customer service sucks and I don't recommend you go with them strictly based on my experience with their phone staff. Similar deals can be had elsewhere. A few Benjies for my licensed HVAC guy and I have a killer A/C setup that's warrantied. Peace of miiiind. lol

never slow a fan... let her rip or buy a smaller one
Doh! Now I'm confused.
What are controllers for? (noise is what I thought)

I've never used one so mine are rippin, but the whole longer in carbon seemed to make stoner sense at least.

I needed a mini split without giving a left nut... Went with ramsond.com. Best deal I could find. I got a 18000btu with heat pump electric heat after 15 degrees with line set for 1200 to my door. They use toshiba and sanyo compressors and the unit is whisper quiet inside and out.
My other favorite new toy is my horticontrol flip flop. Amazing this thing is I tell ya two thousands on bright before the other two are even alll the way off yet. Very cool product and a good way to tell the power companies to fuckoff with there trend tracking smart meters...

A controller will slow down your fan speed motor and thus lower your cfm. What he didn't tell ya is that unless your fan is made for a controller you might burn up the motor running it slower.
