Beating IR camera's how?

Mylar on the wall that's closest to the internal part of the house e.g. bedroom back wall!

Mylar on the 1st side wall that leads to my neighbours house

ADF on the 2nd wall that leads to outside at the side of the house

ADF on the outer bedroom wall leading to the front of the house

You need a survey on said walls , ie = whot are they made of and have they any insulating properties ? it could be the case they are well insulated allready !

Like i said i'm not clued in about IR or heat sigs , and detection of . Have worked with all types of insulation on ducting and pipes in factories , offices etc etc .
The methods and thickness mentioned will stop heat escaping or getting through a wall . Sitting on 25 mm kingspan you can feel body heat reflecting back .
All four walls insulated , with the loft allready insulated will contain any heat , the other or main problem you have is the exaust .

My attik grow is a drobe type box , MDF lined with 25mm foil backed fiberglass then 3mm plywood covered in mylar . i take cool air from the house and exaust into the attik . running 600 Watt on a carbon filter ..
It's insulated more for winter temps than IR detection as the irish dont have that technoligy over here on the bog .

Uh, have you all forgotten about the LAW?? read this:

From the above:

"We think that obtaining by sense-enhancing technology any information regarding the interior of the home that could not otherwise have been obtained without physical "intrusion into a constitutionally protected area",(Silverman, 365 U.S., at 512), constitutes a search-at least where (as here) the technology in question is not in general public use. "

So whats all the fuss? It is NOT legal for the filthy pigs to fly around seeking heat signatures...period. Much ado about nothing.

I must add this: There are certain times when the filthy pigs CAN use thermal imaging to HELP establish a warrant application, and that is the very rare times when a PRIVATE entity reports such activity to the cops...and another is when the cops are flying around with their imaging on and ' inadvertantly ' see a heat signature from a residence...they are supposed to report it to a narc for follow up, which would mean an investigation.

In big city areas, especially southern California, the stinking DA's are trying with all their might to get around the law. They advise the cops on how to lie and make sure that they can make it legal, even with the law clear. In other words, they are pushing the limits of KYLLO to the brink, as they always do.

Garages and outbuildings do NOT have the same expectation of privacy as homes do. This is very important. If no one is living in a building, then the rights are far less,. and warrants can be had easier bt far. Let's say that Officer O'Piggy is flying around in his helicopter one night with the FLIR on...just hoping to get a heat signature from private homes. he is NOT supposed to be doing this, but he can lie and say he just left it on.

Then, he sees a heat sig from a home. He would record the FLIR image on tape and give it to the narcs to investigate. It would take a LOT to get a warrant from that: The follow up investigation would have to uncover substantiating evidence BEFORE a warrant could be taken, such as power usage, signs of a grow, etc. the heat sig alone is NOT enough.

Here is a copy of the filthy DA in California trying to spell out how the pigs can get around the Supreme Court decision:

http://www.alea.org/public/airbeat/back_issues/may_jun_2008/Seven Years Since Kyllo.pdf

In this the DA is trying to get the cops to keep using the FLIR by making it very technical...the cops CANNOT PURPOSELY fly over private homes with a FLIR looking for heat sigs...it is only Ok IF it is ' inadvertant' !! Of COURSE the liars flying the copters are going to say it was not on purpose..they are all chronic liars...but it takes a hell of a lot more these days to get a warrant using FLIR...it can only be the first part of an investigation...OR after a warrant has already been taken.

IF a warrant has been taken, then the warrant can specify a fly over with FLIR to substantiate OTHER evidence...but not before the warrant. Cops cannot get a warrant absed ONLY on the FLIR , and that of course pisses them off because the filthy cops HATE all Constitutional Rights that interfere with their police state pig agendas.

But for now..unless you loive in a huge city with lots of copters with FLIR, you need not worry much about this issue...and of course if you DO live in such places, reducing the heat sig will help make sure that an' inadvertant' FLIR peep will not ruin your grow.

So, generally...this is an issue basically for those in large urban areas with high numbers of flights and FLIR copters...and those of you so situated would be wise to be careful..the rest of us need not worry about such things in general, although caution is always better than regret.

hundred gram ounce has a good idea , dont know if it works or not .

Your input is good SmokyMtnToker unfortunately it's not relevent as the original poster is in England UK . They want to burn 3 x 600W undetected . My guess is , there in a UK city with frequent police choppers in the sky . that would make any one nervous .
