hunters are only going to put game cams in areas were there is game or game sign present. make sure the path to you plot isnt a deer path. If there is a lot of human presence deer and many other game animals will move on to other parts of the forest. i used to spray coyote piss (available at most garden stores as deer and rabbit repelant) everywere around my plot and on the paths into my plot, to scare the deer off my plot and out of the area. (human piss works too, and its also a good feritilizer) the lack of deer in the area made the hunters move on as well.

just my input: i was on camera at the beginning of the summer... nothing happened. it was just a run of the mill game camera, but it was locked up tight to the tree. i didn't do anything to the cameras (i think damaging the camera is a REALLY bad idea). my face was most likely covered and i do look like a dirty hippie.
still got crops still safe

best bet is to use only the best of the best spots and be hyper aware. don't underestimate the pigs or some corny ass old hunter. as a side note, stop thinking you can own land.
