It looks to me as if 2008 is going to be the best yet, Apollo11...Connie, Astroboy and (Genius X C88) X (NL#5 X Pluton X Purple Haze X Lambsbread) X (Romulan X Cindy99)<<3D lol.. I dont think anybody could go wrong with genes like this, got me all psyched up for a year of discovery.. 
Gonna have a whole greenhouse at my disposal soon, so im gonna fill it with more Fiesta mix in search of that Astroboy...

Im looking hoping for some decent females with angular branching, and a 50ish day finish...fingers crossed lol..
Should be fun, nearly all Sativa dom this time around..only Connie has more Indy in her, my guts tell me that the Fiesta Mix i got was mostly Connie..but with Ortega x C99 as the father in both crosses, id expect the growth styles to be very similar and hard to tell the difference in veg. Anyone got some clues on what to look for in each cross, not expecting to have an idea of which is which till a few weeks into flower..Connie smell=Cherry and Astro smell=Rotten fruit, thats as far as ive got...lol.

The Fiesta mix was from Subcools old stock(when he was dealing with the Doc) Astroboy(Apollo13 x Ortega x C99) Conquisador(HashPlant x Ortega x C99)......hoping for mainly Astro's, but Connie sounds like my perfect Indica so im happy either way.

hya bean, have to admit not heard of some strain in that mix, heard of apollo and c99 and hashplant, but the ortega astroboy and conquis names i hadnt , sounds interesting stuff. I like my indica's so will love to see how the connies go, good luck with them , im salivating at the thought of the pics to come 3d num (3) looks a bit mutey doesnt it..

This is going to be a journey of discovery for you and I alike then, Astroboy and Connie havent been around for a while...and are almost unheard of on IC, ill copy and paste some info on the genetics for reference later on. The Ortega i think is a Canadian clone only(possibly elite), but im not sure on that one..Indica dom if i remember rightly.
3D#3 looks freaky, also very slow to catch up and i think that ones close to bieng culled...ive gotta drop 3plants when i re-pot into bigger containers, so 3D#3, Apollo11#7 and A11#4 will probably be composted lol...although it depends on the weather, if its ok outside when i re-pot then ill put the slow ones outside to catch up or die trying lol.

I too mostly grew up on the heavy strains, a sativa was always a treat.
I have had audible/visuals trips on weed. I have "shrunk"
and had a couple surreal experiances, which brings me to this
astroboy.
The few tiny bottom/bottom buds dried on the moniter did absolutly nothing for me that I noticed.
So several days later I took the bud from the end of the branch that I had already molested,
threw it on a platter that mostly stays on my coffee table under a ceiling fan to dry out the wetass weed we smoke most of the time and let dry for a couple of days.
When I couldn't stand it any more I cut it up still pretty wet
bud, cleaned out my pipe and fired upabowl while *** slept.
It smoked real nice...THE END!
Haha............ Now REALLY what happened next hasen't happened since I was a teen.
Heart rate went up, and my mind
seemed like it was jacked into a mainframe.
The thoughts totatly detached and unrelated
rushed through my mind at a breakneck speed.
This shit ain't quite done with me yet though as it setteled down, well it seemed like it settled down but as I was about to find out it was only 1 "wave" of many.
I felt as if I was floating, my body very light and seemingly
barely attached to my mind.
I had a "third eye" that seemed to view a slide show,
in my head that was totatly unrelated to the mad rush of thoughts that had flooded back over me.
So there I sat looking in looking out not really seeing anything thinking "at least I'm not paranoid", while watching cartoons through my third eye.
I go up to my grow room to look at my plants almost 2 hrs. has passed since I smoked. I said fuck this shit & loaded another bowl and fireditup.
Woke ***, and stared into space while she smoked a cigerette When I went to bed my body kept "sliding sideways across the bed while it maintaned the surreal unattached feeling. Laying there in the dark I watched what I mostly remember as Steamboat Mickey cartoons along with flashes of light, through my third eye, fianally going to sleep about 4:30 3 hrs. or so after I started my session.
I told you I'd tell you how it smoked...
It's a keeper for sure in my garden.
I'm letting it go a while longer as the trics are still most all clear, and it probably needs to settle down a little bit, I'm not as young as I used to be.

A cross of the Cuddlefish Hash Plant X Ortega C99. You will get to veiw both of these parent strains before this thread is done.
Most of these picture were taken at the first run of Conquistador and the Astroboy strain. This is a remote grow in Canada. Keep in mind these giant plants are being attacked by mites so bad they scared away the lady bugs and badboy says they actually bite.
Avid imune Borg are no fun. The plants are doing very well even with that.
I must state that these shots were not taken by me so there are not as clear as I would like and we have fresh pics on the way but you guys have to see Connie on her maiden run...
BTW Suny Coined the Name Conquistador I thought it cocky and presumtuous but it absolutly fits the regal strain that I now call simply Connie
So lets take a look at this stuff dried and ready to smoke.
The smell is of cantelopes and or watermellons. Badboy was walking around with a bud under his nose that day trying to describe it to me.
Then they set about smoking it and the surprize came. Potent as shit to go along with the giant size. For a large plant it had surprizingly high pistil to leaf ratio so unlike alot of huge bud when broke up inside its all leafy this stuff was just covered in cystals and good inner smoke for bong hits.
I dont smoke the crap from buds no stick outer leaf just the goodie and a 7 gram bud of Connie has veryy little waste except the larger stems.

So were sitting arond smoking this thing at the time we called the Red one, It is Ortega X C99. These were a get outa Jail gift from a good freind over seas who is as old school as they come. The mere fact this person sent them verified there quality. This is the same source as the 123 Brothers Grimm Male BTW
So Squid, HeavyB, Bobbo420, and me are toking and shooting the chit and were extremly High. We have visited the Chinese buffet and we have received the transformation into Blazed.
So heavy B says " Ortega thats a Taco right" Squid chimes In yeah maybe thats what we should call it. I am hell no we are not calling this fine red head stash Taco.
To late it stuck and was nothing I could do about it..

Thanks for the info , good reading, gotta love the look of those buds, niiiiiceee Connie sounds like a smoke i would like, i really love the more fruity indica smell than the more musky smell, will of course smoke either lol but when i smell a bud n its got that nice fruity smell, whatever fruit it might smell like, it brings a smile to my face before even lighting a

Little bit of an update, the crop is coming along...one of the Apollo11's is a runt, and looks to have topped itself lol...the 3D's are taking off now, one i think is showing more Sativa traits than the others...thin leaves and longer internodes. The Fiesta mix seedlings are developing nicely, slight differences are coming through between the plants from this mix...a difference in leaf shape, possibly an early indicator between Astro and Connie?
Also...and im gritting my teeth as i type this, the fu&$%ng mites are back!!!!!! Ive hung some pest strips out there, placed a pint of water in the cab to raise the RH..ill order some more predetors too, i dont want to lose any plants to the borg this year..but if i cant stop the potential destruction of the crop, i have a fridge full of pips so a fallback plan is in place..

Looking good Bean, I was going to get myself some subcool gear then og went down and haven't got back to it. sub/tga always look stunning.
Sucks about the mites i am trying not to put anything in the flower room for now until i have got all the other harvested so i can clean it out the thrips are under control but i want rid of them. So best of luck getting rid of the mites!

Cant wait, but i know we have to lol.
The mites probably going to cause us some aggro, but i suppose you could call it selective pressure..survival of the fittest. Theres many options open to us, and many paths to choose...so im not worried too much. Those thrips can be pesky too, the Floater indica is like lasagne to them lol..i think its the odour of the leaves. Hope you manage to get rid of those sucka's, jah bless and be safe dude..

Ok..so, we're sitting there playin Tigger'woods on the PS2, and my homie pipes up to reveal a secret stash of Lifesaver from the last harvest....he skinned up and passed it around..on the 13th hole i had a brain~wave, re-pot the Lifesaver mother and veg it in the cab untill its all bonzai style..and then clone the hell out of it, then i can preserve it indefinately..(any dudes with space is welcome..PM me..) The Floaters are >__this close__< to the compost heap, the Apollo's & co will replace them in the gardens.
How f'now...
