it aint gonna be a strain that pulls it for you that's for sure
it's mostly about environmental conditions, most seasoned growers know that already

like smurph said, new technology.
my understanding is that DE bulbs pull 3 lbs per light even in not perfectly "dialed" rooms
CMH for veg is outstanding, i'm still not convinced that it's the right thing for bloom, but a 315w CMH draws less amps than an 8 bulb t5, and the difference in plant growth is outstanding.

I agree 100 percent. CMH for veg and flower under DE. Vegging under DE is great also. Having 10 ft ceiling was a design point for me since i built my room for an epap. Getting 10 ft is possible if your willing to work a bit. Lol allows for big plants too if that is your thing. Hehe

If i had four good plants going like a couple i had this summer i could get close to four.they would have to be good beans. PPK is good for growing big plants. Those were wide leaf dominant hybrids too so not sure i could do that with sativas or necessarily with any particular seed. Quality and potency is more important to me tho.

i hit 2.87 with Oger 99. 4 gavitas over 16 ft. strain is most important for sure.

you cant make a strain do what its genetics wont allow..end of story...yeehaw...but if you have the right strain and don't have it dialed in you wont ever see its potential...

Lol it's funny to me when people say things THEY can't do so it's impossible. I hit over 2's gpw with my single 400 watt HPS systems in my 5' x 5' x 7' tents... People see my shit and be like damn..... If you wanna know how I have a thread with how I go about doing so . I did my method poorly last time and still got over 2 gpw. This round I'm going for over 3 gpw. Think I can get 3.5 or 4 once I dial her in nicely with my Co2.

3 1/4 and that's not even dialed in, only at the garden 1 day a week, the rest of the days they were on their own.

I think I can hit 4 with it dialed.

Starting at post #88.

All plants after that post came from 3x 315w cdm bulbs w/cycloptics hoods in a 5x10 space. So just under 1k watts. Plants filled out just as well (better actually) as if I had 2x 1k hps in the same space.

I never get more than 1 with my setups. I know someone whos gotten over 4 per light with super sour diesel, gavitas, closed system wharehouse. I laugh every time this thread comes up.

I am shitty grower in coir, and my best was 1200 watt 1400 gram, with GG4 dried to 65%. 200 grams was crappy under growth. Was Scrogged and legs shaved at 21 days of flower. Was using cool tubes, so lights could get close. Also VPD (vapor pressure differantial) helps a lot. VPD is humidity level in relation to temperature. It increases photosynthesis.

I am going back to hydro, and see if I can do better. Last 2 grows did not do as well.

Hi fellas

it would be interesting to hear what the LED guys are pulling per (true) watt. i´m thinking the optimal scenario could be something like this:

vertical grow/hydro/LED

well dialled in heavy yielding strain

optimal environment

AN nutrients

and a guy/gal who´s willing to go that extra mile

I bet there´s at least someone out there (preferably in here ) that is pulling crazy numbers with LEDs. chime in pls!

Well I need to post some pics...but I am now getting 2+ per 1k, Doubt I'll hit three without doing a risky sea of green, which ain't happening.

I can now break 2 per 1k with the help of a real deal GG#4 strain from clone. I am mostly doing plants in 2 gal of coco in smart pots. With the G#4 I get 6-8 zips in the 2 gal and I was also getting 8-10 zips off larger plants in 3 gallon smart pots. I have 5 strains under 2k perpeptual but averaging over 2 per month with 2k albeit mostly Glue.

Nutes:
I use RO and I first add 1/2 ml/gal Botanicare CaMg

Veg:
Base GH flora (3part) 4:5:1 ml/g (micro,grow,bloom)
BioRoot 2 ml/g
once a week I add 1 ml/g at diff times either: Hormex liquid(contains NAA IBA and B1) or Thrive Alive (red)

Bloom:
GH flora 4:1:5 ml/gal (micro,grow, bloom)
Snowstorm 1 ml/g
Crystal Burst 1 ml/gal
Magnum 1 ml/g

Couple tips I learned is that Hormex is an incedibly effective root stimulant and less expensive than stuff like Roots Excelurator.

And Magnum contains Sulfur as well as Mg. Sulfur is the element most associated with aromas and flavor. I also like that it provides Mg w/o Ca. This is key in mid to late flower.
